My dirrty latina ass is gonna PUKE!
I read one of the Adversary's theories about all of the characters appearing in the game being asleep. Henry always wakes up on his bed, and Eileen cannot escape nor be killed as she is lying unconscious on a hospital bed, unable to awaken.
So apologies if this has been discussed...
Does this mean that, just after meeting Henry, when Cynthia disappears, she has woken up (and been sick)? She states before her death that she had been drinking heavily the night before, and probably drunkenly fell asleep and got dragged into Walter's world. She becomes nauseous, and wakes up and runs to the toilet, where I could guess she passed out or fell asleep in the bathroom.
Does anyone care to elaborate, or have their input? Come on guys, it's not often I manage to think of something on my own.

That's a damn fine idea, Cherry, and I'm surprised no one else suggested it. In fact, I'm gonna adopt that into the theory, courtesy of you.
This means that Cynthia too traversed the hole, just the same as Henry does. She wakes up, in reality, runs to the restroom--wherever she lives--to vomit, then passes out again, returning to Walter's dream-world.
I should have thought of that myself--and probably would've eventually if I liked Cynthia as a character...

What really confuses me is Jasper. What was HIS hole?
In Otherworld we see his Car idle in the forest outside of an abandoned factory, and where we find Jasper himself is lingering around the "Motherstone" stuttering his ass off.
Then Richard too, Hell, each and every one of his victims after Ten Hearts had to get drawn in somehow.
Here I was wondering if the Holes were something only Henry, the oh-so-special receiver of Wisdom could see due to his having to transverse the world to witness the goings on.

The way I see it is...
Henry saw Cynthia enter the subway in the real world very early on in the game. She was there the entire time you see her through out the game. Cynthia enters the subway, and manages to knock herself out. Perhaps from being sick or some outside force, but I believe she does. Then she enters her dream world, which Henry gets himself into by entering the hole. When Cynthia goes to vomit, I believe that she wakes up in the real world, and wanders to another part of the subway. Perhaps a train which is where you find her next. Then the two of you meet up once again, and you lose her again. She once again wakes up, and finds herself back into the dream world, and then calls for you, where she is killed. Wherever she passed out in the subway last is probably where she was found dead in the real world. Which I assume she made it to the booth where she calls you from, because with the other deaths they find them in the last place you saw them.
Like with Jasper, he probably went through similar things. Andrew probably fell asleep at work and thought he awoke in a cell, and went through similar things. Richard probably fell asleep at home and dreamed the building world, where you manage to find yourself in Richard's apartment, which afterwords you find him dead in the real world.
Sorry if this is all jumbled up I was just writing ideas as I typed. I'll try to clear it up more if no one understands. This is just an extention of what Cherry said though.

It seems unlikely (but not impossible) that Cynthia is walking around the station in the real world in a drunken, semi-conscious daze. I highly doubt that she manages to pass out in about three different spots, only to keep awakening and relocating.
How much of the real world is actually affected by Walter's world? I imagined, after thinking of this, that perhaps the dreaming Cynthia was walking around in reality somewhere - thus why she meanders about and yawns a bit before apprehensively trotting down the steps to the subway station.
Of course, this doesn't sit right. In fact, her presence outside Henry's apartment makes for some debate. Anyone got any other ideas?

Well she may not of passed out three times, but I believe she passed out somewhere in the subway. Those trains can get tiresome especially if you're tired like that getting on.

Was wierd that all the people Henry met along the way (with the exception of Walter) got murdered. But if you followed the Little notes, they were all listed in the 21 Sacraments list.
Eileen's fate depends on a better score than the 21 Sacraments and Eileen's bad death, otherwise she and Henry Live.
I finished the game twice today, as I went back and changed a few things and tried again from a save point and I got a better ending.
Cynthia, hmmm I agree, was a pointless character, and that bit about doing Henry favors and this being HER dream... c'mon lol.

>she goes deeper than that.
I bet she does... Oh! Giggety!
Anyway. I don't like Cynthia. And I really don't like it when people say they felt so bad about her dying: Henry had known her for five minutes.
Cynthia's remark about it being her dream is quite relevant, though, and it makes perfect sense as to why she'd say it. The entire unreality the characters experience is a dreamworld, as I've discussed in my thread Eileen's Reality, but this idea here, that Cherry Bomb's sent forth, is a great explanation for Cynthia's actions & disappearance.
It also goes to show that Cynthia, too, saw the same hole.

I was joking. More specifically, I was implying that vision33r was a dumbass.Jedah wrote:Because a game with just Henry and Eileen would had been over in much less time than what it already is. And the story wouldn’t be the same anyways...
