What Console Are You Going To Get It For?

Post by QuestionSleepZz »

To my understanding it's coming out for the Wii, PS2 and the PSP. With control methods mixed up, and the graphics differences and whatnot. Which one are you planning on picking up?

I personaly can't decide between the Wii and the PS2, the Wii because thats what the main idea was with the controls, and the PS2 in the case of having an actual...controler.

I would without a doubt buy it for the Wii, it was made with the Wii in mind from the beginning.
From what I can tell, the ports for the PS2 and the PSP were pretty much an after-thought during the production, and they are being handled by a different team in Climax, so there is a risk that they would be of a lower quality in some areas such as controls or even graphics.
I actually prefer the wii-mote and nunchuk to a traditional controller, despite playing on the PS2 for years before buying the Wii, it's all down to personal preference which console you want to buy it for.

PS2 so I don't have to flail my arms around like an idiot to get monsters off of me
(even though I'm sure that would add so much to that famous "Silent Hill atmosphere" [/sarcasm] ).

PS2.

However, if it's a really great game and I have a PSP by then, I'll consider getting the PSP version too.

PS2. When it comes out I'm going to be in college, and seeing as how it's 5 1/2 hours away from home, I can't exactly go back every weekend to play it on my parents' Wii. I also feel a bit more comfortable with the PS2 controller when I'm playing Silent Hill so.. PS2 it is.

Probably because they don't want to do extra work for the graphics. If they simply developed it for the Wii and then ported it over to the PS3/360 without changing the graphics, "professional" reviewers as well as the general gaming populace would complain for ages that it looks exactly the same. Let's face it, graphics are huge for a lot of people, and nobody wants to play a PS3/360 game that looks like it could've easily been on the PS2.

As for me - I can't see myself buying this game. Not because I think it's going to suck, it's just that I won't be buying games for quite a long time and when I finally do start playing games again I'll likely play the ones in my backlog as well as go through some of my RPGs again.

Then again, my friend has a Wii. So maybe I'll buy it for the Wii and just leave it at his house, and when I go over on the weekends I'll play it.

own both wii and ps2 but because the game was intended for the wii in the first place i go for this version plus the looking with your flashlight with the wii mote sounds very cool.

prob the wii version should have some better lighting and textures.

I usually buy new games for the PS3 and 360, but in this case, I will buy it for the PS2 only, maybe a second copy for good measure

PS2. I don't own a Wii, and there's not much sense in buying an entire console for one game, so I really hope the ports aren't terrible. :?
