What was your favorite / freaky / cool moment in the game???

Ten years after the original game and Harry's still searching for his daughter.

What was your favorite / freaky / cool moment in the game???

Post by TerryRed »

There were a bunch for me but the one that comes to mind easiet (besides the big reveal at the end), was the whole sequence with Dahlia in the car...
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
After she freezes, the car falls to the bottom of the river, water pouring in, monsters appear on the window, everything freezes... you think it's done, but then the windows are covered in ice... and you slowly see the letters being drawn "STOP FIGHTING" on one window, "SO COLD" on another, and the windshield also said something, but I can't remember!!!

That whole scene was amazingly done, and the fact that you could still interact made it even cooler.

God this game was amazing...

What about your fav moments???

My favorite moment was meeting Michelle and hearing her sing, and Cybil's revelation to Harry.

I loved how the Lighthouse was this symbolic figure of revelation and how he took so long getting there, with so many obstacles in his way.

Did anyone else notice that the telescope thing (at the Amusement Park I think), makes at static-like noise when you point it at the Lighthouse???

PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
I knew what was going to happen when the lighthouse turned out to be Dr. K's office. I thought to myself, "I'm going to walk through this hallway, open the door, and I am going to be Cheryl seeing myself/Harry walk in on the session."
That realization, and then watching it actually happen, turned me to Jello. For a minute there I thought

Harry was really alive, and he was going to bitch-slap Dr. K and save Cheryl from some crazy cult brainwashing or something, but the truth was unavoidable :(

I dunno if it changes what exactly happens per game but in the movie theater when,
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
You walk towards the screen and it shows a short clip of what it shows at the beginning movie, then you walk like 5 yards further and it turns into a weird ass face with freaky voices in the background. Scared the shit out of me and I just sorta sat there and looked at it, stunned. Very cool stuff. The "Abyss" right after that was great too. When you are falling past the random rooms and what not the first time and Cheryl's shadow starts to fall near you was awesome.

Oh, it should've been, could've been worse than you would ever know.
Well, you told me about nowhere well it sounds like someplace I'd like to go.

Yeah I liked this game's version of the Labyrinth, like the part where Harry jumps down the Hole and sees all the TV screens on his way down. Also the way I discovered the twist at the end, starting to go right into the Lighthouse but stopping at the last second to look at the sign in the front and finally coming to the realization.

Nearly seeing Cheryl's breasts.
Yeah, that really pleased my homosexuality.

The bridge sequence was just amazing.

I also adored the Balkan Michelle/Dahlia switcheroo and the Nightmare Green Lion. Trippy as all hell.

The coolest moment for me was when Harry Mason ran back to save Lisa. And, not:

Lisa: Stay by me, Harry! Please!
Harry: Sorry. My daughter.

Wow, I didn't get that with Lisa when I went back...

For me Lisa basically just died infront of me...

I liked the labrynth, even though it was kind of frustrating.

It was also really weird when you're in the sewer and you see that fish in the drain with a hook in its mouth, so you yank on it and it flops around, pukes, dies. I just sorta thought wtf I thought it was already dead, grabbed the ring, and kept going.

I liked the part near the end when you can't run away from the Raw Shocks. I figured something was up since you can outrun them up to that point, but I always enjoy sequences where you can't escape.

The switcheroo with Michelle and Dahlia was seriously mystifying. I think I was just as confused as Harry.

When I first played the wheelchair segment, I freaked out bad and nearly threw my Wiimote clean through my TV trying to wheel faster. That was pretty awesome.

That made me want a Wii wheelchair racing game. Wii-lchair, even. Maybe it could be silent hill themed, with special attacks ala mario kart. James launches auffocating pillows onto everyone, Harry whips out the emergency hammer, Alessa makes everything otherworldy, Pyramid Head...well, guess.
