Oh, sorry, I got confused, the bit that starts at 4.10 in "Waiting for you" actually sounds like 1:37 into "Theme of Laura". I can't believe I confused the solos!!!

I actually forgot to include "Waiting For You ~ live at Heaven's Night" in my list on page 1. My mistake. I'll amend it.

I just really dislike that song, so listening to it is a struggle—and remembering it is even more of one. . . .

Yeah, I know what you mean.

There is something about that song, it sounds too "fuzzy", I don't know, I don't like it either... but anyway, those are all the songs that use that solo.

Wow, major hate on iFuturelist...and I really enjoyed that album. :(

Anyway, wasn't I want Love(the studio remixed) on the SH3 soundtrack? So isn't it linking it with Sh3? *shrugs*

What's funny is that on some of the youtube videos of cutscenes from Shattered Memories the song identification software thinks that it is from the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack. (It tries to sell you what it thinks the song is in a pop-up over the video.) Also, who on Earth hasn't heard of Portishead? That is blasphemy. That is madness.

I generally love most of the OST's for the games. Some of the Mary tracks are cheesy and most of the time I'll skip over them. I did like "O.R.T", "Shot Down in Flames" and "This Sacred Line."

With regards to Homecoming using a reused guitar lick, One More Soul To The Call actually has a guitar lick that is extremely similar to the contested solo. It's more subtle than the other OSTs but it's there.

I refuse to listen to all 7 minutes of "One More Soul to the Call" again so I can't confirm Droo's asseveration. However, the last time I did listen, a few weeks ago, I didn't hear it.

It's only the first few notes of the solo. But they are the same. It's in the chorus, added over the chords near the end of the song.

The song is only 6 minutes long, too, by the way.

saying he's being lazy for reusing that one bit is really pushing it. if anything it's like his signiture on his work. a signiture which was stopped when climax took over and then used in his last ost for the series.

I noticed the similarities the first time I heard the respective tracks. I think "Tender Sugar" has got Akira's best guitar solo.
