Well officially I heard that major production on the film would only start once the new Resident Evil was completed... and as it turns out... the new Res Evil has been delayed to maybe 2011... which means we probably won't get another film until after that year, unless they rearrange their schedule in light of the delays.

lol I became more and more distressed as I read this post. Well, RE movies can suck it dry as far as I'm concerned. I hope the world hasn't ended before the new SH movie comes out... but that would be rather fitting.

It'd be fitting, and in some ways, IMO, preferable. I want to hope that it'll be good (and I didn't dislike the first, mind), but I'm also scared of getting a movie that's just horrifically bad, which I know is possible.

I love the RE games and the movies were misses from the beginning. My biggest complaint?Nemesis being a total wuss. I hope they make the next Silent Hill movie first. Maybe not a direct sequel but it's own story but some similar ideas like A man search for his wife and his torment or maybe one closer to Shattered Memories.

It's been officially stated that SH2 won't seriously begin production until the next Resident Evl is completed... and seeing as how the movie keeps getting delayed ( http://kotaku.com/5445192/new-resident- ... oved-again ) as far back as 2011, SH2 looks less likely to occur anytime soon, unless they get fed up with Res Evil's constant delays and push SH2 up.

Could someone fill me in as to why they can't film more than one movie at a time? This is something that has bothered me for a while, it makes no sense to me.

Both RE4 and SH2 have the same producer (Samuel Hadida) and the producer must be on set every day of filming. Considering that most movies have shooting schedules of 14-18 hours 6 days a week, it would be impossible for two movies with the same producer to film at the same time.

As far as I know, the major studios have the budget to film multiple movies at the same time, so long as no major members of the cast or crew conflict. Movie shooting times really aren't that long anyway. The average movie takes about two to three months to film.

^That's exactly why I was confused about it in the first place.
Yeah, Milla was tweeting while they were filming which was only for about 2 months, and they finished quite a while ago, unless they're just on hiatus, I don't know.
