The 4 Endings

Post by SHF »

It took me 8 gameplays to finally achieve all four endings. The hardest one was when you had to make sure eileen was alive, plus clear out the room hauntings. ( Eileen was one step away from the gyroscope mechanism before Walter died) Very intense. So what about you guys? How long did it take you to achieve all endings? Include detail within your explanations please...

It's easier when you do the 4 playthoughs in rowso you perfectly remember where is everything...To save your health drinks and guns for the second half of the game and to know where to drop Eyleen also helps you (Lock her in an empty room, clean the world and just pick her when you finish all the puzzles and be ready for exit the world)... This game isn't hard after you get the axe... The hard thing is to defeat Walter before Eyleen dies in the final room with the hard settings so I just don't bother...

Well you can kind of do this on two game saves. Just take the save and it depends on if your Eileen and room are clean and dirty. And if Henry dies or not. :( Poor Henry!

^No. But I always thought "What the fuck is that?"

You kinda. . . Pick a steel pipe for example and sticks with it for the entire game. . .? :|

i tried to play it on hard mode. Barely made it past the sniffers near the bathrooms on Subway world. I said screw it. In order to get the submachine gun, etc. do u have to get a certain ending? or does that not matter?

The ending doesn't matter. You have to beat the game with a 9-star ranking to unlock the submachine gun. As for the sniffers, a good strategy is to hold the walk button to get past them. Just try not to walk in front of their face. It works for me every time. I think it's essential to do that if you want a good ranking. You can't fight all the enemies especially on hard mode, where the Sniffers are too tough to kill.

The submachine gun doesn't even seem worth it. Doesn't it just go to Eileen? I mean, you play it on hard mode for what purpose, to wait half the game to finally have a purpose for the weapon, then she becomes possessed faster so there really becomes even less of a use for it and you can't even use it yourself when she runs off.
A whole lot of hard work for a whole lot of nothin'.

Most people say Henry's a pervert because of looking through the peephole to Eileen's room, but here's the thing: Your not required to do that, it's the players choice.
So whose the pervert now :P?

I agree, that's why I never bothered getting a 9-star ranking. I went straight for the 10-star cause I wanted to unlock One Weapon Mode and Full Weapons Mode. As you said, the weapon is for Eileen and not for Henry. The only part of the game where it actually pays off, is in the boss fight with the One Truth. So, it's not worth going for 9-star ranking just for the submachine gun.

One Weapon Mode makes the game more challenging, but if you get a 10-star ranking, you'll unlock All Weapons Mode. It this mode, you can have every weapon at the start of the game (except for the pistol, it appears in its normal spot). Also, every time you return to the apartment, you'll find 10 Nutrition Drinks in the fridge and some Handgun ammo in the laundry room.
If you're the type of gamer who likes to unlock everything in a game(such as myself), you'd probably want to give it a try. That is, in case you like the game, of course. Otherwise, you wouldn't bother finishing it more than once.

The weapons though weren't interesting enough for me. The other games had unlockables that made the game fun to beat again but the same old same old weapons just isn't worth the trouble

If you guys are talkin' on weapons, when I got rusty axe, I "saved" the bullets and stuff for end boss fight, but apparently I just managed to go thru whole game without changin weapon after founding that lol.

About my endings, I had savegame before bossfight, and I tried to get 21 sacraments and at least one ending where Eileen survives, but I got only 21 sacraments, Eileen's Death and then I accidentally overwrote the whole savegame.. Since I have seen the endings from UTube I don't really find that much interest to play about hour the game to just see the ending again :(

I've only played the game twice and gotten "21 Sacraments" and "Eileen's Death." I've tried using the candle-trick with Eileen but have proved to be unsuccessful so far. And no matter what I do, Eileen takes damage. Guess I'll try playing it again soon lol.

Im at the bar with eileen in Building world.
I thought i pretected her really well only taking very little hits. However on the way in the pet shop, just as a ghost was emerging from the wall, eileen said "It's Him, Hes coming in!"
wad she on about the ghost or is that a bad sign?

She's actually referencing to the fact that she's being possessed by Walter I'm pretty sure.
