whats the symbol on his shirt mean?
and what was the pendant necklace of?

I think the symbol on his shirt is just a pattern and not related to anything, the symbol on the pendant is the symbol of The Order. When Adam gives Josh the necklace you see a ring with the symbol printed on it.
It is a sign for The Order

This is just my imagination and something I made up.
I haven't ever realized what was on his shirt before, but now that I see it, it looks like the number 2.

And number 2 means second, which Josh was the second child of Lillian and the Dad. Which in the family the baby gets most of the attention so maybe the shirt has a 2 on it to mock Alex because even though Josh was the 2nd child, Alex was always the one in second place.
