Ten years after the original game and Harry's still searching for his daughter.

Right there with ya, this game is absolutely infuriating at times. "Hey, take notice of the colour of this toy birds beak.. while being chased by nightmarish creatures!"
Which is such a let down, because at the same time when you aren't being chased, it's such a good experience

I really hope they don't keep the chase sequences. Having monsters that change appearance based on you actions is pretty cool, but constantly running from them, while hoping you aren't going in a circle is just annoying. I prefered the old monsters that you could fight. Despite having weapons and being able to just run to the next room, they were scarier than the raw shocks of SH: Shattered Memories.

i actually am on my second playthrough already, and they are really annoying. i mean, if i have a nightmare i just usually scream like a little girl  and wake up.

Looking back at my older posts, I have realized that I've grown up from the annoying "lolz :3 teen" forum member on this website, and now I just find it annoying when others talk like that, yes, I am such a Hippocrate.

Nightmare Sequences were meant to be tedious and frustrating, hence the nightmare.

Yeah but tedius and frustrating doesn't equal scary, alot of times when you make somthing that annoying and frustrating it takes away from the overall atmosphere and scariness of the game.

There is evidence of train wrecks and airplane crashes.

i'm only one the second one and i really dislike the entire aspect already. probably because i suck at finding my way around. how the hell are you supposed to concentrate on the map when you're being chased by these stupid things?

I found it was easier to glance at the map and make a sort of mental picture of it, and say, "Ok, so I want to get to that point way over there to the left", and then just run for it.

Alternately, if you have no problem with just doing as a walkthrough tells you, you could check out this site here, seeing as it has directions for each and every chase that are as simple as, "Enter, turn left, run past two doors..." etc, etc.

I never, ever look at the map. Just go forward and look for the obvious pathways laid out for you, mainly marked by flares, train wrecks, and airplane crashes.

I borrowed this game from my friend yesterday and even though I've done the first nightmare sequence like, three times, I still go in circles and get annoyed every single time.

It's like, I know where to go I just don't know HOW

It's really easy to get through the nightmare sequences without a map. Protip: The way you want is always the one farther from you.

Alright, I just tried to get through the forest one and oh my god who actually thought this shit was a good idea.
This is seriously one of the most frustrating things I've ever attempted in my life, I'm actually legit mad

A lot of people on YouTube are automatically stating that the game sucks because of the nightmare sequences.

It isn't the game's fault that you suck at playing.

It is. From my experience, there's very few times where it doesn't work out. Though there is one nightmare sequence where it doesn't work, it has another clue to get you through.
