Hmm...Why does Esther remind me so much of Dahlia?

Looks good, man. Looking forward to the comic.

So, I'm not the only one who sees something familiar in Esther, huh?

Oh, and props on Jebediah. He looks significantly different from the average Silent Hill protagonist... different vibe, too. That makes him automatically more interesting. :)

Hey, Tom, I've been wondering about something. Now, my knowledge of 19th century America isn't exactly the deepest, but I am under the impression that the East Coast and the Western territories were almost separate countries, when it came to environment, fashion, culture, etc. Jebediah, of course, looks like he came out of the West. If he's planning on going East, where Silent Hill is, I assume he can't dress and act the same as he did in the West? Especially if he's a wanted man?

Of course, once he's in Silent Hill, all bets are off, but I assume he's planning to blend in so as to not attract Federal attention. I dunno, just some thoughts on the setting I had.

Like I said in the other thread these were posted in, the artwork looks great. I'm also curious about what Kenji was saying about the West/East transition. And do we have a definite location where Silent Hill is? I always think of Virginia, but I didn't think anyone really knew.

In my eyes, Silent Hill was never really a specific place - or if it was once, it stopped being so a long time ago. It may exist in a single place in the real world, but that doesn't mean it stays stationary in any of the other dimensions it inhabits.

Well, in games Zero through Homecoming, Silent Hill is in the New England portion of the United States. I think Maine is supposed to be the most likely candidate (probably as a shout-out to Stephen King).

The movie, meanwhile, places it in West Virginia. I wouldn't have minded if Homecoming had latched itself to the movie continuity and placed it there, too.

Shattered Memories has it in Michigan, apparently inside Grand Rapids. This was obviously on purpose and purposely going against the conventional characterization of the town being on the East Coast. Assuming they didn't just pick a random zip code in Michigan and screw up that way, it also suggests that Silent Hill can manifest in other towns and cities, and therefore you-know-who actually lives in Grand Rapids.

I didn't mention this earlier, but I am entertaining the possibility that Silent Hill will appear in the Central or Mountain time zones for Past Life and "Silent Hill 8." A precedent does exist.

The art looks great so far and, as Kenji said, Jebediah seems quite different from the other SH protagonists. I agree with what everyone else has said; Esther is very reminiscent of Dahlia. Can't wait to see the finished comic!

Beautiful artwork, I love it. Jebediah especially.

Ester really does look like Dahlia, more so then the SHO version of her did. I wonder if that's intentional. The only difference I can tell is that Ester's face is longer and her eyes are more closed, Dahlia kind of had this unsettling stare.

Anyway, I can't wait to see more. For the artwork if anything.

I thought about that too. It could still be a coincidence, but they look too much alike IMO.

Would that make Ester and Jebediah Dahlia's great grandparents and thus Alessa's great-great grandparents? I forgot in which year this takes place. Anyone remembers?

1867, if I remember correctly.

And, yes, that thought has crossed my mind, too.

Could be very interesting. Especially if they find a way to have it NOT be about the cult. :D

So I guess I got it right, great-grandparents most likely. Thanks, man.

One can hope, however Order is briefly mentioned in one of the interviews. Granted, they were just talking about what was happening in the time period the comic takes place.
