Yup, I've tried using the candle glitch too... I get her to being normal-looking, but when she appears at the final battle, she's hurt and a mess again :(

Oddly enough though, the Butcher scared me more than PH.

he was more brutal than ph. remember when he gives travis the dirty eye before they fight? that was pretty intense.

I really love this game and I consider it canon... for the most part anyways.

A remake though? It's too new just to remake. Personally though, I'd like to see it. Origins had the right idea. Plus Alessa is one of my favorite characters ever.

There are some things that just need to be retold (properly) because they dropped the ball on some continuity.

4 is definitely the one that needs a remake. I love it too but the trailer turned a game that should have been the best in the series into a serious disappointment. 6 years later and I'm still a bit bitter about that.

No, I don't want to see it remade. While I wouldn't suggest that it's flawless, I like Origins as it is, and don't particularly want to see ANY of the games remade (and who heard of a remake after just 2 years?). Let's move on with the series.

@ helldescent: Nope, I don't remember that dirty look... What scares me most about him is the image of him in that peephole we see him through in the maintenance hallway. I can't ever remember being that scared about something else in a game. ~shudders~

Well, it's not exactly two years, but here's a movie that was remade three years after the original.

^It was a rhetorical question just meant to say: "We don't need a game remade after only a couple of years."

I know you guys say no remake to 0, but personally it's one of my favorites along with 3, 2 and 1. It combined the psychological and cult aspect into one bad ass game, made you further question if what we see is real or are all the main characters crazy.

Instead of a remake I would love it if they added a whole butcher level, or butcher otherworld, I remember passing through there-headphones on-the atmosphere was damn good.

If anything, it was very reminiscent of SH1. You could hear the meat hooks moving and the eerie sound of freezers still working. I also remember the preview for the original Silent hill 0, it creeped the hell out of me. I remember it showed a very dark room with meat hanging all over. What ever Climax UK was doing at that point, was perfect IMO. It almost felt like the originals.

Climax ftw!!!

So in all: no remake, just finish the damned thing xD.

I find Origins to be good as it is, but it felt rushed, mainly because of the change in mid-production...
I felt that Travis had a lot of potential in terms of storyline, if Climax was in production from the start.

Climax WAS in production from the start. It was changed from Climax USA to Climax UK.

No, they made the trailer look good. The trailer didn't even have any or that much cut scenes from the game, it was mostly CG.

This is what made them change the teams. Without Climax UK, Origins would have sucked balls. Climax US did a horrible job and copied a lot of things, and had bad gameplay before they switched teams.

If they had kept the original creature designs ( not the zombie thing), i would of enjoyed the game immensely.
Instead, they borrowed from SH2.

What would be the point on wasting time and money for a remake? I just don't understand... lol it didn't even come out that long ago.

This game seemed at times more like a chore than a game. I felt devoted enough to play it once, though, and managed to get half through it again. However, something stopped me--a same something that says this shouldn't be remade. Or even re-manufactured for selling.
