zombiedude wrote:Holy crap! I just found the sample libraries Akira used to create the industrial music and sounds.

They're called Titanium Rhythm Industrial Percussion 1 & 2. I do not own the sample library, so I don't have any samples to show you guys, however there are audio demos of the sample libraries:

Audio demo of TRIP 1 http://www.jasonjonessounddesign.com/ti ... 1_demo.mp3
Audio demo of TRIP 2 http://www.jasonjonessounddesign.com/ti ... 2_demo.mp3
Indeed, you are right, sir! I haven't been able to hunt down Titanium Rhythms 1 or 2 (yet), but I did manage to find another sample library that the same guy worked on, called Things that Go Bump in the Night (also from Big Fish Audio). It contains many loops from Titanium Rhythms 1, and yes, a couple of the loops were used by Yamaoka (the industrial sounds from "Flower Crown of Poppy" is one). I guess we now know where he got all those industrial sounds! DEFINITELY keep your eyes peeled for these two libraries, because I'd love to get a hold of 'em. I'll update this thread soon and add the ones I found. Awesome find. Thanks!

Update on the first page! I've added some of the samples that have been mentioned throughout the past few pages, as well as a few newly discovered samples that no one has mentioned, namely, the industrial percussion used in "Flower Crown of Poppy" as well as the drum loop and synth samples used on "Drowning". :)

Found some more samples

1. "BREAKING UP" from Distorted Reality 2.
Heard in the scenario when James walks down to the hotel basement in SH2 for the second time, now flooded with water.

2. "LOST HORIZON" from Bizarre Guitar
I don't know what it has been used in, but i'm fairly certain Akira used this one.

3. "WATERTANK" from Bizarre Guitar
I'm pretty sure this is heard in the appartments or the prison in Silent Hill 2.

Thanks again!

EDIT: And also i found the beats used in "Underground Dawn - Never Come" (Zero G's Pure Trip Hop library, called "Lazy Days") and "Tears of..." this last one i can't remember were i have it...

I have the "Smoke" library, if anyone wants it PM me and i'll tell you were i found it! :) In that library i've found another interesting beat, i found the one used in the song "Confinement", is called "Overnourished". I'm pretty sure that i have the beats for "Tears of..." as well as the beat of "Melancholy Requiem" in the "Total Rex" collection library... I'll search for them!

Ah, cool. I have the Zero-G Total Rex collection as well. I'll sift through all the REX files and see what I can find. I also have Smoke, buried somewhere on my hard drive. Thanks!

^ Nope, no forum rules violated. And, that's awesome! You should do some full-on covers. :)

I'll be updating the 1st page with the other samples that Diego_Reynoso (thanks for mentioning the "Lazy Days" sample. I never would have caught it) and Revelations of the Past has mentioned. Keep 'em coming guys!

Also, if anyone happens to run across the Big Fish Audio Titanium Rhythms libraries, PM ME!

Thank you very much! :D And you'r right, it would be interesting to do some full-on covers... Oh yeah! :)

I'm about to find the beats i said i had (Tears of... and Melancholy Requiem) i'll post the full "description" of where to find them later (you know, library, folder, section, etc). I haven't done that because i didn't had ReCycle installed and my Total REX library was totally useless...

I'll start searching for the Big Fish Audio libraries... If i have any luck i'll let you know, guys. ;)

EDIT: I found the Melancholy Requiem beat, it's actually divided in 2 loops called: "hotrodtoms" 3 and 4, it's inside the Total REX library, DVD 2, library "Return to the Planet of the Breaks", folder: Variations 057-097. ;)

You need to convert them to a different format to use them. You can use CDXtract to do that; the format i do not know since i've never touched Logic Pro.

In Logic, you can import/convert AKAI discs from the "options" menu in the EXS24 sampler. Personally, I like using CDXtract instead because you can export the sounds in any format you wish. With CDXtract, you can also export patch files for whatever software sampler you use, as well. For example, if you use Reason, you can export the samples as NN-XT patches. Pretty neat.

For Bizarre Guitars, do you have an .iso file, or do you have .bin and .cue files? If you have .bin/.cue files, you'll need to actually burn it to a disc. Virtually mounting them with something like Toast won't work. After burning the disc, insert it (you may receive an error saying the format can't be recognized. Just ignore it), and find the "find sampler discs" option in the "files" menu of CDXtract. It should import all the sounds.

You can get the CDXtract demo from their website. As a demo, it'll allow you to export samples from the disc. You'll need a full, registered copy to export patch files, though.

Hope that helps!

This is true if you are using a Mac OS.

However, if you happen to be using a Windows OS, Diego, you can mount the ISO/BIN/CUE with ease using Daemon Tools Lite.

VIVIsect, Revelations, Badass Cyborg, thank you so much for the help! :D I'm using Mac OS so i'll burn the library like you guys said!

Thank you so much!

EDIT: I didn't had to burn it, i went to Windows on my old PC, mounted the image and converted the library to WAV, and guess what... I found one more sample!

Library: Spectrasonics Bizarre Guitar
Folder: 05 CLUSTERS
Sample: SINISTER
Song: Always on my Mind.

I'll keep searching...

Diego_Reynoso, if you could, please use the edit button to ad to your previous post, instead of making a new post. It'll save you from being yelled at for double posting. ;) Also, thanks for the finds!

I just came across the opening of "Witchcraft". It's from a Zero-G library. I'll update the first page soon.
