Silent Hill Sounds Box

Post by DJ Tomoe »

KonamiStyle has another SH collectors item for release in 2011/03/16.
Image
Click on image to buy at CDJapan. Ships all over the world.
It's a special box collection of all the SH OSTs released in Japan, including 8 CDs, a full-color Art booklet and a DVD with game trailers.
The CDs are:
  • SH Soundtrack
    SH2 Soundtrack
    SH3 Soundtrack
    SH4: The Room Soundtrack
    SH ZERO Soundtrack
    SH Homecoming Soundtrack
    SH Shattered Memories
SH The Arcade + Demo tracks
The last disc is pretty interesting, being that The Arcade never had an OST and it's mostly made up of songs from the other games.
Sounds Box will cost 14,000 Yen (around 180$ USD).

Wow, that is a must have. Nice find...

A Silent Hill fan-fiction I plan to turn into a comic and I'm keen to get feedback so I can improve the story before then.
There were many drawbacks to being a swordsman, not least of which was that men didn't take you seriously until you'd actually killed them, by which time it didn't really matter anymore

This. So, anyone interested in buying a kidney? I'm selling mine. I mean, I may not be a super Yamaoka fan anymore but still... this is a SH fan's wet dream.

Because we really, really, really like the music.

That, and I only have the first four sound tracks. That's my reason.

It's a bit too pricey for me for what is there (hell there's a Castlevania boxset that I want that is 16 disks and $200.00, that I could justify spending cause that's 16 disks of music :P). $180 for half of that amount of disks is just a bit too much. If they were the full soundtracks I'd contemplate it, but if it's just the stuff they already released, with tracks missing I'd have to give this a miss and just stick to the gamerips.

Neat for a collector's item though.

I've been searching in a daily basis on Play Asia for the pre-order of the Sounds Box, but there's nothing yet... If anyone knows of another site/store that has this for pre-order and also has international shippings, PLEASE, let me know! I would REALLY appreciate it!

The box can be purchased at Amazon JP, so it won't be as hard to get it now. There's several sites that can purchase from there and ship internationally.
Besides, there's a discount of almost 3000 Yen, so you'll save some money! :)

Some companies specialize in buying stuff for western buyers. Obviously, it's going to cost you a lot extra. These are the most common companies to use: www.shoppingmalljapan.com, www.rinkya.com, www.celga.com

Yes, they're trustworthy. A lot of people use them. That's not to say that problem can't occur, of course.

Personally I've only used Shoppingmalljapan, and I've never had a problem.

Words can't describe how badly I want this...

But the reaction of Droo comes very close with the inclusion of a gaping mouth and eyes as big as dinner plates.

Is it possible to order this from Amazon Japan and have them ship to Canada?

Good news, everyone. :) Sounds Box has been picked up by CDJapan, a japanese online store that ships to all over the world.

You can buy it here for 170$ USD. I'm an avid CDJapan customer and never had any problems. It's easy to use and they offer a great service. For an order like this, tough, I'd recommend using EMS or registered air-mail for shipping, just to be sure you don't encounter any issues.
