Whitney says a friend found it in a theatre. Looks like a UK poster, what with the different date and all.

Huh, that's... interesting. That is the laziest official ad I think I've ever seen.

It looks fanmade, yeah, but I personally like it better than the poster with the face. :/

Looking at the OP image, I am convinced now that Valtiel isn't gonna be just Pyramid Head minus the Pyramid. You get a good view of his arm there, and I don't see the tattoo of the Seal of Metatron, which is on the Valtiel statue-chair thingy we've seen. I really hope the valve-turning behavior and standing on walls is kept faithful to the game... PH operating the carousel machine has me a little worried.

Honestly? That UK poster reminds me of the back of one of the game boxes. Very nostalgic-feeling because of that, but not necessarily the best way to promote a movie. Are posters like this common in the UK--posters that outline the plot of the movie on them? Because this is my first time seeing anything like that.

Ah, on second look at that site, they say it was found in a flyer... Still kind of an odd ad for a movie, to me.

UK posters don't normally look like that (Well not the ones ive seen anyway)

It looks like a poster that would be inside a Movie/Gaming magazine.
But at the same time it looks fan-made, Im not really sure what to think of it ._.

After being frantically recalled by the producers for being an unfinished work, the poster now has an official release.

Hmmm, Im not so sure why it was 'Frantically' Recalled because there isnt much of a difference.

It seems they have only added a back shadow to the font, put in the credits and messed about with the contrast and such.

Oh well...

I much prefer the version without the shadowing on the letters.

Not liking the poster. Both the image and the tagline are corny. "This Halloween, prepare for a 3D ride through hell."
...Really?... :|

I like the idea, but I agree about Pyramid Head having a muffin top. :(

Really don't like it. If I wasn't a Silent Hill fan, I wouldn't be able to take it seriously at all.

Honestly, a poster like this would make me ignore the movie completely. It's just silly hah. At that point only word of mouth of it being worth it would probably convince me to watch it.

Just goes to show how uninspired the marketing team is. Either that, or they are really trying to lure in the young teen crowd due to it being a video game adaptation, or maybe them just not being able to see past the words "video game adaptation". I do hope the movie is much better than how they are making it look though. I know it seems like the originals marketing seemed much better, oddly enough.

I think they're trying to reel in "THIS IS A HALLOWEEN MOVIE, GUYS. FUN HORROR STUFF YES GOOD" crowds rather than "video game adaptation" crowds.

EDIT: Relevant:

Looks like it'll be a 3D poster. I understand why they did the shadowing, then.

I wonder if the people who made that poster realize that the Great Knife is not a cartoon giant sword and is actually heavy even for Pyramid Head..

I hate this so much it kinda makes me want to cry. I don't even think I want to see this movie. Not that I was overjoyed by the idea of a second one to begin with. But, yes fuck that poster.
