It is a FWWM reference. :D And I kindof agree that Silent Hill 3 isn't about story. The first part isn't, anyway. The second part is pretty significant in terms of canon while ALSO telling a sort of standalone self-exploration story. But I do agree the first film handled plot better than the first game, and the thing I'm looking forward to most is how they take the core plot concept from 3, which is a good concept, and apply it to a full narrative. I mean, seeing Heather to the extant we experience her as a full teenager (eg, being in school) would add a lot to her character, and the only reason SH 3 the game didn't do it is because, well, it wouldn't work gameplay-wise. And such is the benefit of a film adaption.

I actually really like this review. It's not positive per se but it talks fondly of how 'loopy' the film is, which sounds great to me, essentially they're saying the film is batshit insane, which is all I ask for :D

That last review was pretty interesting. It's not exactly positive, but makes the movie seem at least somewhat entertaining.

First review is up on rotten tomatoes and...it's fresh! Though still a C+.

Blurb: "This movie is highly stylized, beautifully rendered in spots, but a narrative mess. Fans of the game and previous movies should love this. Harington and Clemons are future stars."

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D currently sports an 8% on Rottentomatoes (2 Fresh Reviews out of 26 at time of posting) with an average rating of 3.3/10 .

Consensus - "Featuring weak characters, an incomprehensible plot, and a decided shortage of scares, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is a mediocre effort even by the standards of video game adaptations."

Just saw a review by one of my favourite horror vloggers, he liked it a lot, though said it wasn't perfect.

SHR now possesses a 5% positive critical reception. With merely 2 fresh reviews and 36 negative ones, no other positive reviews have been collected by RT. The Average Rating has decreased to 3.2/10 .

SHR possesses a 14% on Metacritic, based on 11 reviews. From what I know of Metacritic, that is an abysmal score.

Jesus. That's like Uwe Boll territory. I disliked the film, but not that much.

This is where we put other people's reviews of this movie, right? Because Phelous finally finished his review of it, in two parts.

http://blip.tv/phelous/silent-hill-reve ... -2-6594735
Not really his best review imo, but I've been looking forward to it. I agree with pretty much all of his problems with it (not the right style of horror for SH, it doesn't adapt the game well, too many contradictions both between the two movies and within this movie itself, etc.) but I think at this point pretty much everyone knows where they stand on this movie and this isn't going to change anyone's mind on the film. Nor should it. But I figured I'd post it just because.

Here's his thoughts on the first movie from awhile ago:
