Favorite Scene in the Movie

What was your favorite scene in the movie?

For me it was the entire otherworld school sequence. It was all very intense with both the Janitor and Pyramid Head.

The otherworld Janitor and Pyramid Head scenes, and the ending. Just the way it was done, so Silent Hill, so emotional.
"Gee it's as hot as hell in here."
"For me, it's always like this..."

Cybil screaming "Leave her alone" before burning to death.

It was awesome because Cybil cared so much about saving Sharon that she was able to fight using her last breath.

*The first time the air-raid siren goes off when Rose is decending the stairs. Actually, all of that scene - the burning children and the way they seemed to use the same camera angles they used in SH1 when Harry was running through the alleyway.

That image of the Janitor/Colin groaning and screaming as he claws his way out of the bathroom stall is seared into my memory and is a wonderfully powerful scene. Very surreal, frightening, unnerving, and very Jacobs Ladder (to a point) though more original.

Well, as much as I'd love to say the Straightjacket and how absolutely perfectally they captured it, I have to go with the Grey Children, the shot of all the little buggers chasing her through the paths in the gates, and then after, showing how it was just fences in a few backyards.

Yeah, grey children for me as well. It was a shame that my favorite part was right in the beginning, but at least they did the original game's scene justice. I enjoyed the straightjacket guy, too, but was very sad not to see more of them later. Would have loved to see a loose pack of those walking around somewhere, particularly if they got gunned down shortly thereafter. =)

I quite liked the Anna scene with Pyramid Head. It was absolutley brutal and it really set a tone of hopelessness throughout the film. It was shot incredibly as well, some really nice camera angles and sound effects used to ratchet up the tension.

The "History of Alessa" flashback scene. F*cking beautiful in its own sense, really had me feeling horrible the way they treated Alessa. That is one of the few things I did like about the movie.

I agree. It's one of the few scenes which I felt was coherent.

I actually think it was the worst scene. :? It explained the story in an A, B, C fashion, was over-long and the narrator got annoying. My favourite? Tough question. Either the alleyway, the Lying Figure or the nightmare school. I can't decide.

I really liked the barb-wire vengence scene.... it just shouted out vengence to me. Sure it was a little over-done, but I thought it worked out well.

My favorite scene was the one where Pyramid Head is stabbing at Rose and Cybil in that room with the fan.

The frantic chaos as they run from him, the panic as they struggle to bar the door, the tension as all you hear is the scuttling of beetles and the great knife dragging across the floor....

Then boom, I was absolutely writhing in my seat as the sword came within centimeters of the heroines' bodies, the sound of the knife slashing through the air... The weight of the sound was an excellent touch.
Hurm...

When the camera panned down on Gray Child and it screamed, my stomach went up in my chest like I was about to get into a car wreck.
