For some reason I didn't get it until my third time beating the game but I just realized that in the room in the labrynth where you meet angela and have to fight the doorman boss there are wierd metal rods moving in and out of holes in the room. Does it symbolize the rapes and abuse that angela experienced?

Ever since I put that together that room makes me incredibly uncomfortable.

Also, the 'doorman' boss is a couple having sex on a bed....

Another question: Why are there more than one doorman bosses (in the hotel)? In only that especific part (after you talk to Laura the first time in the hotel)?

This is what I believe, and you can agree if you want: It doesn't become a boss after you fight it with Angela. More or less it becomes a regular monster--fighting it in the "womb room" is James' introduction to it, because it ties in with his own guilt and feelings towards Mary. To Angela the monster is her father, but to James it represents struggle, oppression, overpowering--it can relate to both himself and to Thomas Orosco.

^I see, thanks. Only two of them non-bosses? One Mary, the other James...Naaa! This was stupid.

Yeah...There is. I realised that now. I really need to replay SH2 again. Need to "refresh" myself with SH2.

Even on beginner action level there are 4 doormen.

Also, if you examine the burning staircase walls, you'll notice what first look like paintings are actually bodies beneath tight shrouds as decorations. The most disturbing part is the crotch area of the body has a huge penetration hole, through the shroud/sheet, and is blood soaked and stained.

^ What?!

For some reason, I thought Angela finally found her mother or something like that.

So that's supposed to be vaginas? Never thought about it that way since I've always thought that those doormen were, to Angela, paintings of her father (Or something like that) and since a father usually is a male... well, you get the picture.

Because you are talking about those two doormen on the walls, right? Or am I missing something?

I think those "doormen" on the walls are the image of Angela left behind after the dominating figure in the doormen has stopped and left.

Possibly how she feels now.
