The design is pretty interesting. The pauldron covers half of the face(what there is of one), and then covers the shoulder. Mabe the way that the pauldron covers half of the face represents a part of Travis's past that he has forgotten; or a part of himself that he doesn't know about. If it pertains to Alessa, I have no idea what it could represent. We'll have to wait and see.

Creepy, interesting, but woefully reminiscent of Pyramid Head.

Of course you shouldn't. Why would you dream of doing such a thing...?

I wasnt planning on it. but i figured if I just wached the bad ending i would still have the modivation to get the good ending when the game comes out.

i don't dislike the design, but i don't particularly feel anything about it, other than... he's kinda bland. definately pyramid-head-ish, and i don't know if that's a good thing.

I read in the PSM review of Silent Hill Origins that there will be a Pyramid Head-type monster, and this is as Pyramid Head-ish as it gets. I'm ok with it, just as long as there aren't 2 Butchers towards the end of the game.

Doesn't it make your heart all warm and fuzzy inside.

Plus this may be the Pyramid Head in Travis's mind or the human of him. This could be interesting.

That wouldn't be interesting, so much as lazy.

I don't know but someone does because someone has the "demo" right now. This leak hasn't lead to nearly enough unofficial reviews, though.

Or it could be like a twisted version of Travis. It’s just my idea.

I agree, it may be a twisted version of Travis.. or a figment of his imagination... either way I'm sure the butcher has a much deeper meaning in the overall storyline of silent hill.

Doubtful, really. It seems to be too much of wishful thinking to think that "Butcher" is this tremendously magnificently important being when these people can't even get Lisa's age right.

does anyone think there is a possibility of a link between the butcher and pyramid head other than the cosmetic similarity?

it's like pyramid head, with a shorter great knife, and his head has been filed down a bit. Oh, and it's clothes are more whiter and thinner I suppose.
