How did Heather and Douglas get in the Hotel Room????

Heather finds out why it's true that you shouldn't talk to strangers. Or look in mirrors, quite honestly.

How did Heather and Douglas get in the Motel Room in Silent Hill??? There was no one there to "Check them in" right???

Was this ever explained or did they just find an open door...

It may be one those of weird "hole" things without an explanation. Like how Douglas' leg was broken (although we can all safely assume Claudia did it to him). As for the motel room: I always thought they forced their way in/picked the lock to spend the night. Or perhaps the room was unlocked.

They had a key. I think you can check it in your inventory. So they probably just went into the main office and found the key.

They got because Heather blasted the office door down with the Heather Beam!

No I belive they found a key in the office and slept there.
Douglas: Where are you going?
Heather: I’m taking the subway home.
Douglas: What should I do?
Heather: Hell if I know.

I wouldn't sleep in a room with an old creepy guy who can appear in his boxers on a norm, but it is safer when your in Silent Hill

Man, who says they slept in the same room? There are many other rooms, you know.

Besides, I doubt Heather was able to get any sleep...

I can just imagine Douglas, suffering from Night-Terrors. lol

Don't ask why...It just seems funny to me..
Value your failures more than your successes. Successes only last until someone screws them up. Failures are forever. She left...and...I'm lost.

Maybe it was the only door in the whole damn town whose "lock wasn't broken". Besides, the motel is cut off by yet another hastily erected fence...

I still say Douglas had rented it previously for a recent sit-down with Claudia.

That has never entered my mind and yet it is brilliant and totally plausable--genius

I highly doubt they slept in it to be honest.
Would you sleep in a town full of monsters? especially ones as cryptic as in Silent Hill, you could close your eyes and open them only to be inside a Hospital or somewhere equally creepy....
Not only that, but i'm sure Heather mentions she's incredibly tired but cant sleep now, when you examine the bed...

Yeah... that would explain the overall puffiness of her face, too.

Don't get me wrong, I like Heather a lot, but her face is just... like, really tired, or like she's been recently crying.

I think they just check the reception of the motel, and grab the master key from behind the counter.

I noticed that, her face, while pretty, is quite tired looking.
Makes sense though, horror, burevement (sp?) lack of sleep and crying dont make for a fresh face :P
Thus under her eyes it looks quite red and her face is visibly pale, sexy though heh.

How they hell did they drive there in the first place? All the roads are out!

Well, hey, it's not really important to the narrative. Plus, well after what Vincent says in the library, theres some speculation as to whether or not it's all actually real.

Maybe we shouldn't question everything...

I mean most of us are past that "but...why?" "why?" "but whyyy" stage. I think that passes after the age of 3...

...so why don't we just leave some things be and move along?
