Post subject: 3 music boxes imply who or what?

Is there any common interpretation for the three music boxes of Snow White, Cinderella, and Little Mermaid?
Or any original theories?

I searched the forum for the answer but couldn't find one at the moment.

EDIT:
I should've added this link to the page of "the Translated Memories" for some reference.

Why would there be any theories? Seems pretty random of a thing to choose to me, and I'm not sure there is any deeper meaning behind it.

Seat of the Princess who awoke from death.
Seat of the Princess who spoke no words.

Good point, by the way!

Then, I think they have to be some theory. I mean, that can't be coincidence.

i'm just surprised no one mentioned it.

it probably does mean something.

let the theories begin!

edit: i was thinking cinderella and snow white in sh3 are just a reference to sh2, not really any meaning...

i could be wrong, though.

In terms of the Serpent, Old Man and Prisoner

Serpent - Maria = The Serpent is known as a figment of Evil which can easily deceive with it's innocent looks, and what is Maria good at doing?....

Old Man - James = Could be something to do with Guilt, Pain, Anger etc which are wearing him down, or prehaps his misconception of time since he falsely beleives Mary died 3 years ago.

Prisoner - Mary = Could also apply to James being a prisoner of his own guilt, but more likely to apply to Mary being a prisoner in her sickness and her inablility to lead a normal life.

The 3 Princesses are a bit vague in all honesty.

Little Mermaid - Laura = Prehaps because of her age and innocence.

Snow White - Mary = So the story of cinderella was she was leading a happy life before being poisoned by a witch, only to be brought back to life by a prince, remeniscent of anything? (Mary leads a happy life, get's i'll and dies, however if a certain ending takes place....)

Cinderella - Maria?! = It could be the fact that Cinderalla tried to be someone she wasnt, (she was in reality a person kept locked away by her sisters, until she one day was granted a wish to be whatever she wanted for 1 night), kinda like Maria is, to James, her appearance to him is deceiving, she appears to be bright, kind and cheery but when she shows her true form, she is somthing all together less appealing.

Well sorry lol, was elaborating on the stories and theories behind the simple names to try to make more sense of things :)

In Silent Hill 3 wasnt it only Cinderella and Snow White?

If so.

2 sides of the same coin apply here, Alessa and Heather.

Snow White - Innocence = Alessa - She was young when the birth of god was attempted on her, innocent and scared, what happened to her wasnt fair, remeniscent of Snow White and her innocence before she was cruely poisoned by the Witch.

Cinderella - Mislead = Heather - She tries to be a normal girl (of course she thinks she is, she's not really trying but in context you know what I mean) when in fact her true form is that of the bearer of God, just as in Cinderella who wants to be something she is not, and would try anything necessary to be rid of her bad lifestyle, However it's not far from the Story if you think about it.

A Wish - Cinderella = She makes a wish to be free of her boring life and be a princess for a night
Aglaophonis (bad sp) - Heather = Used to rid herself of the God which is ruining life as she knows it, she wants to be normal, see the similarity.

Evil Sisters = Cinderella - Those that prevent her from being what she wants to be.
God = Heather - Same thing, but different context.

There's more sure, but that's the gist of it.

Why can't it be? I don't want to appear as a Negative Nancy, because I'm not, but I haven't really read anything in this topic that convinces me there's any deeper meaning to the music boxes. And likewise with Cinderella and Snow White in SH3. Now, I'm not saying it's not possible for there to be another meaning, just that what's presented hasn't done much to sway me.
