if you think about him and what he says about the noise, plus teh fact that his sona dn daughter in law dissapeared in SH, i kind of want to say he may have had a slight Silent Hill experience. i mean he keeps an umbilical cord in his room, something has to be wrong with him, and normally when things are wrong in these games its becouse of Silent Hill.
Just wondering.

(and yes i know that he and other tenats saw walter around 302)

I just think he's an awfully lonely guy. Son and daughter in law up and disappeared, weird shit going on in his apartment. He's a lonely old guy who keeps baby parts around his room: what's odd about that?

Heh. ):

wow, if you think there is nothing wrong with keeping baby parts in your room, then maybe you need to find something else to collect...

i think he is lonely though.

SARCASM! It's fun.

Definitely lonely. And I definitely made a face when he let it slip that the umbilical chord was starting to smell.

Not sure about Frank having a Silent Hill experience: maybe more of a dementia due to depression and shitluck.. Neat thought, though.

You never know if the cord had sentimental value. Or perhaps he hoped he would meet the boy again and give the only evidence of parents to the child. Hard to be lonely if you own an apartment complex however, unless you completely avoid your tenants at all costs.

I think it's very plausible for him to visit Silent Hill, but I mean Resort Silent Hill. Not foggy, demon ridden Silent Hill.

Of course he's been to Silent Hill.

"So, my son & daughter-in-law disappeared there ten years ago, but, damn'dest thing: I've never even gone to the place. Weird huh?"

So he keeps an umbilical cord in a cigar box for no good reason. What does this tell us?

It tells us that sharp thinking and logical problem-solving aren't trademark attributes of the Sunderland clan.

I was a little disappointed that Sunderland didn't come to play some part in the second half of the game. Considering his first-hand experience of much that was going on and apparent immunity from Walter's wrath, I really felt that he was going to reveal something interesting, or at least make some appearance.

I love Frank, he's one of my favorite characters in The Room. Mainly because he actually had character.
I loved the fact that he kept Walter's umbilical cord in that stinky box.
For some reason or other, he couldn't bring himself to throw it out.

No, there's something wrong with Frank.
It's not supposed to be cool, it's supposed to make you feel uncomfortable.
It didn't bother me, but I'm not sound in the head, either.

What I don't get is why is thier no pictures of James? That's his son.You think he'd have something of him!Frank was a little weird I guess.I was dissapointed that he wasn't as fleshed out.Of course the game chose to focus on Walter.Do I think he went to Silent Hill?Mabe?Mabe that's why James went in the first place.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :P

James & Mary disappeared ten years ago. Frank isn't dwelling on the past. And he did mention the couple to Henry, when he moved in, as he gave Henry the photograph of Toluca Lake.

You don't see everything in his apartment either: who knows what's behind those locked doors.

That's a very good point. I wish there was more in-game info about Frank, he is so interesting. (To me, anyway)
