Dear little sister,Claudia.
I wanted to get some opions on the last little part in the church where Heather "is" Alessa.Do you think she just acted to try and get Claudia to stop or do you think she was genuine?

Certainly screwing with her head. I wouldn't put it past Heather to do something like that, use a memory she had of Alessa's to try and pull a fast one over on Claudia. Or if her intention wasn't to trick Claudia, surely she wanted to just pull at her heartstrings a bit and fuck around with her.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

Just look what she did to Douglas at the end...hilarious.

I think it's real, and here's my reasoning.
Spoilers ahead.
There is no way that Heather would have said that, but Alessa would have. Heather despises Claudia, Alessa does not.
Spoilers ahead.

After Claudia is pulled through the hole, have Heather go to the door that lead to this place earlier. When you examine it Heather will say
"As much as I want to leave I can't. I have to kill this God, for myself, for dad, and even for Claudia."

I think it's Alessa. Heather's way too hotheaded to look at her without gunning her face at that point in the game.
Although I do think that by the end of the game Heather doesn't kill Claudia not because she is Alessa-posessed but because she has grown as a character, although a big part of that growth is accepting her Alessa half.

It's not Alessa.
My reasoning:
1. There is no other instance where Alessa completely manifests within Heather. All we ever see is Heather recalling Alessa's memories, but always with her own take. If it were really possible, it would have to occur again. It never does.
2. It's not as though faking it is anything difficult, especially when she's so closely tied to Alessa. Heather can access her memories, it goes without saying she can easily imitate her personality and mannerisms.
3. When she stops the Alessa-talk, there's no sign of any struggle or change. She's merely dropping the charade. For that matter, there's no sign of change when she starts, either.
4. Alessa's memory just tried to kill Heather approximately 90 seconds before this exchange takes place. It would be nonsensical to assume she's back this quick doing something VERY different.
And, finally...
5. Alessa seems quite hell-bent on putting an end to the idea of God's revival, and she showed how much she means it by trying to kill Heather. If she then takes control of Heather, given just how hell-bent we know she is, why would she do nothing except try to screw with Claudia? She has so much more power at her disposal. I can't believe she would take control, play a half-hearted mind game with Claudia, and then shrug, give up, and go home.
Conclusion: Heather was faking it. And seriously, it seems rather obvious that she's faking it.

yes I'de also like to add Heather dropped the act once she felt pain from this "god" within her... you see this "god" in her will be born from hatred, so once heather felt hatred toward Claudia when she said something like: you self wretches witch no one asked you to help, then she feels the pain from the god growing within her.

Alright so how do you explain the scene I just told you about? According to your reasoning Heather hates Claudia. So to that I ask, why would Heather say she has to kill the God for not only herself, and her father, but also for Claudia.
In fact I'm willing to bet it was a change in the church. Here's a pattern
Heather enters church, talks to Claudia, Alessa slips through, then Heather slips back.
Heather enters final area, talks to Claudia, Claudia go boom, Heather tries going out door (optional) Alessa slips through sais "I need to kill this God for me, my dad, and Claudia. Heather comes back, jumps through hole, and sais "You can't be dead! I was going to kill you!"
That second part definately was not an act, because when Alessa slips through that time, there's no one around to watch. Actors always need an audience.
And to those who say that it can't be Alessa slipping through because just 90secs ago Memory of Alessa tried to stop the birth of God by killing Heather, and failed. Memory of Alessa was a manifistation, Alessa did not want this version of God killed, and I'm sure she wasn't going to quit at plan A.
So in enters plan B, follow Heather in church without being seen. On occassion (first meeting with Claudia in the church, and the door.) slip through Heather.
Heather kills the God, and Alessa is happy. Heather makes a stupid hair color joke, her and Douglas go to Vegas and meet up with Maria and Henry, and they all get drunk and get married.
*coughs*

I'm sorry to butt in like this (please excuse me as I'm not adding to the topic at hand) but I'd really like to say this just in general.
I don't feel like anyone is creating sides and bandwagons here.
Please don't try to insinuate that by saying there are sides to this.
By all means, state your theories, agree, disagree, react, reply, TALK! but please don't write so many posters into a box.
