There are none.

I would have been happy if they had just put a few more features on there. Deleted scenes, anyone? I don't remember seeing that "Cybil Vs. Patient Demon" scene with Anna in the movie. They showed it in the Making Of, so gimme at least that scene.

*ahem* Rant over. My point is, this is a barebones DVD. I sense a Special Edition in the future.

I hope to see a Special Edition, too. Although I was pretty happy with what they gave as Special Features, to be honest. I guess I'm one of those who enjoys what you get, and never has any complaints. Though it would be nice as I said to see a version someday that might have additional scenes in the movie, or just have what they made in the Special Features section. :D

I give it until about next spring. We'll see a Director's Cut.

One thing I noticed is that on the back, it says the movie was "Remastered in High Definition", which means that this is a lower quality version of the Blu-Ray disc (notice the compression in any of the transitions anyone?) so that is why there are no extensive amounts of extras. Maybe a 2 disc set with all the deleted scenes and everything is on its way, maybe not, all I'm hoping for is if they do rerelease it, it better be just the movie completely uncompressed with the bonuses on another disc because I have seen better quality on bootlegs.

Well, the hard truth is, unless people buy this barebones edition, the distributor probably won't finance special edition.
I think the fact it's only four months removed from theaters is a big reason special features were at such a premium. I also think there probably is something to your Blu-Ray theory, because almost none of the Blu-Ray discs have special features yet.

I do hope they release a special edition ...
I'm one of those kind of movie watchers that adores special features and well, I'm quite disappointed in these features.

No commentary. No deleted scenes. Maybe even a gag reel.

And the documentaries were mediocre at best...
I don't know why, I just didn't find them very informative.

Probably because I watched similar documentaries online... and they seemed to tell more about the film.

Okay, maybe I'm being too harsh... the creature feature bit of it was neat to see.

I was just asking if anyone found any easter eggs/secrets, like in dvd menus or the like. A lot of the movies I seem to pick up on DVD usually have a little one hidden somewhere.

Not every DVD comes with an easter egg, and unfortunately... Silent Hill has none.

The BD version has easter -eggs:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23302

Easter Eggs:
Hidden on the disc is a selection of HD test patterns. You can access these by entering 7669 on your remote control from the disc's main menu. Use the Skip button to page through the patterns. Please note that due to an error in the Sony encoder used to author the disc, blacker-than-black and whiter-than-white portions of the video signal have been clipped, essentially rendering the Brightness and Contrast calibration patterns useless.

That's quite an easter egg! Haha, does anyone even own a Blu-Ray player?

Thanks for the info though!

I wonder if that's even considered supplementary.

I doubt many, if any people actually own a Blu-Ray player since it is still in its infancy and the players alone cost about $1000, I'd expect more people to own one when the PS3 comes out later on this year for around $600 at most.

I would so have loved a commentary but like everyone else I've tried moving the cursor in every direction on every screen ... I even tried the classic konami code on my PS2 ... nothing.
