The sect's plans?

Post by Conjurer »

As we know, Walter has had an encounter with Dahlia, whom told him his Mother was Room 302, which some people consider that as a way to deceive the Holy Mother sect or to actually help them. But then again, if Dahlia came their to deceive their plans, why would the sect just let her waltz on in their and do that?

Their is also a memo that asks about Walter's progress and if Alessa's whereabouts have been discovered yet [assumed to be Heather].

What do you guys think? Do you think Dahlia was in with George and Jimmy? Or was their some sort of discretion?

I also have a question, how is it that a member of the Valtiel sect runs the Holy Mother sect? [according to Lost Memories]. Did the HM sect lose a power struggle of influence or something?

Everyone already knew about the 21 sacrements before Dahlia showed up so of course she was allowed to waltz on in.
October 14th
I did good reading today
I was so happy
But the 21 sacraments for the
descent of the holy mother was hard

October 16th
Some important people came today
One of them was a lady named Dahlia...

October 17th
The important lady told me mommy
was asleep in Ashfield.
I got a mommy too! I'm really happy!
I wanna see her. Where is Ashfield
anyhow?

October 18th
I have to stay in the round cell tomorrow
even if I read good
If I do it God wil be happy so I wil do it
HE comes into the round cell a lot to
visit but its ok I guess

October 21st
I only leave the round cell on Sunday
Then I go and read the Book
I read realy good today too!
If I can keep reading the 21 sacraments
for the descent of the holy mother good,
I can see mommy.
That's what the important lady said
But tomorrow I'm going to the round
cell again
And Silent Hill 2 already established that Xuchilbara/Valtiel is the God/Angel of Rebirth, why shouldn't the Valtiel sect run the Holy Mother sect.

I don't think your understanding the problem here. Dahlia, a member of the HW sect, was let on to HM sect territory and screw up the 21 Sacraments by tricking Walter. Why would they let her do that? I don't think their that stupid.

Well....considering George is a member of another sect and he is running the HM sect. I mention this because as soon as the Valtiel sect is destroyed by Walter, Tobias, the head priest of the HM sect, begins to raise the influence of his sect with money. Why is the Valtiel sect [a mediator of the HM and HW] running the HM sect? Unless they got into a power struggle, i'm not understand this.

Yup. Unfortunatly, theirs alot of mistranslation, especially with George Rosten's victim file.

He runs Wish House. He doesn't run the Sect of the Holy Mother.

*sigh* Thank you. I have to ask you guys something, did Walter willingly read the 21 Sacraments himself cuz he was interested in it? Or did George specifically teach him to read it? [I know LM says he did but that's because the translater guy added it in from his own assumption].

Running a buildings operation is not the same as running a sect of the Order. You need to differentiate.

>did Walter willingly read the 21 Sacraments himself cuz he was interested in it?
Listen to the teachers.
Don't go outside the walls.
Play nicely.
Read the Book.

[George Rosten was responsible for the maintenance of the Sect of the Holy Mother as the right-hand man of Jimmy Stone, a priest with an alias "Red Devil." He raised a certain character as a "conjurer" and succeeded in sneaking Valtiel into the unconsciousness realm of the "conjurer."]

I thought Silent Hill 4 made an obvious implication that the Wish House was owned & ran by the Holy Mother sect [not George] whom was raising boy orphans for their [HM sect's] perception of a Conjurer...?

Agreement with Conjurer here you are right my friend.

As far as Walter being a willing participant, it seems that his goal was only to reunite with Momma (APT 302) and to avoid further abuse and death. If he was told the hokey pokey would accomplish that then he would have done it instead.

Their is also a memo that asks about Walter's progress and if Alessa's whereabouts have been discovered yet [assumed to be Heather].
So, does anybody propose why the Valtiel/Holy Mother sect would give a damn if the Holy Women sect found Alessa?

I personally think that memo didn't have any purpose other than being a reference to the rest of the series.

Isn't that the whole point of the Holy Mother sect to begin with?

Basicaly, George acted only to run the building from what I have come to understand. He was in no way associated with the cult, and I find it unlikely he would be allowed to abuse their 'Prime Cannidate' for godly work.
