The Demon in the Flauros, the whole thing with "Samael", the birth of the Otherworld according to MMY... The demon, Flauros, is a conjuration/reflection of the town's power, same as the monsters and the God. Don't tell me no one else has thought of that yet. :P The memo in which the God i...

Point is, Origins Alessa attacked her mother with intent to kill, which no Alessa in any other incarnation or portrayal ever tried to do. When did Alessa attack Dahlia in Origins? They were only in two scenes together: one in which Alessa summons Otherworld, the other when she's out on the table an...

For a while now I've been of the opinion that Silent Hill really should have just ended with 4. Not just Silent Hill either. I don't think any series should have more than 4 games (with a few exceptions). 4 games should be enough time to tell a story. Series that suffer from sequelitis and/or remaki...

Alessa being an evil bitch instead of a sympathetic figure? Alessa being active seven years too early? Lisa having a fugly nose that makes her look like a Jewvian alien from South Park? What in the world did Alessa do to Travis than was any different than what she did to Harry? We know in Silent Hi...

I gotta agree, that's a really weak argument. It's clearly meant to be Travis of Origins. By your rational, one could say Silent Hill 4 isn't connected to 2. They just happen to have a character named Frank Sunderland, who just happens to look a bit like James, and who happened to lose a son and dau...

If Origins isn't canon, does that mean Homecoming isn't canon either? I mean, Travis appears in Homecoming.

^ Q: What is the Seal of Metatron? A: It's like a spell of annihilation. What Alessa was actually creating was the Seal of Metatron. Its name is derived from the name of an angel of release in the Kabbalistic system. Bound by the cult's spell and living in an endless nightmare in agony, Alessa's wis...

And even if they did perform the sacrifices 4 years ago, what the fuck is taking god so long? and why the fuck didn't Margaret and Sam use their political influence to find Alex on their own and kill him? Finding him wouldn't have been difficult, esp. when he was hospitalized in Silent Hill of all ...

Apparently you missed the sign hanging on the side of the grated wall before you squeeze through to get the crowbar. It mentions that the area behind the wall is electrified and that exposure can cause severe burns and death. The scream is from one of the body bags being electrocuted.

Actually, in Adam's case, couldn't the visual motif be from actual knowledge of the old Order's executioners? After all, he apparently knew a lot about the Order, so I don't find it hard to imagine he knows about ole' Stone and Rosten.

I was under the impression that it was a trap, but seeing Nora's pendant triggered some of the Judge's lingering guilt about what she did (from her appearance as she held the pendant, as well as her behavior as the monster appeared), which prompted the monster's appearance. At which point she comes ...

I had an interesting thought about the Schism monster. While it appears to represent a split-personality, I don't really think Alex suffers from genuine schizophrenia. He doesn't have two distinct personalities; he simply is in intense denial about what happened to Josh, to the point of constructing...

I can't believe it wasn't until my second playthrough that I realized how much Central Silent Hill had changed. I was so busy looking for little things that I looked right past the obvious. It's kinda sad really; the theater, the Green Lion Antiques shop, the mall; famous places ingrained in the gam...

the new Order is a resurrection of the old Silent Hill Order, Then why was its main base of operations underneath Shepherd's Glen? In the good ending Alex and Elle escape the last labyrinth and emerge from the manhole outside of Shepherd's house, which implied to me that the last area was under SG,...

So let me see if I've got this straight... (endgame spoilz)

After having finished Homecoming for the first time, I felt both perplexed and annoyed by the plot. For one, the inclusion of the Order and its stance in the whole story seemed to bounce from one explanation to another. For another, the mechanics of the Otherworld don't seem to be right. So let me s...

So Tom, have you pieced together Homecoming's plot yet? And I'll sorta agree. The ambient music that made SH2 so creepy (the pendulum-esc tune for exploring Paleville has got to be the best creepy ambient track ever!) has yet to make a decent return; Origins in particular struck me as bad with it's ...

If you're so certain the game is going to be great, why are the comments of a handful of people on the internet getting under your skin so much? I choose to remain skeptical. It's really the best way to approach a situation like this. This way if the game is great, then awesome, a game I thought was...
