This game has the most boring parts of all the games. Everything sucks from the subway until the construction site. I can't even play it anymore.

Kojima and Konami were both wrong, let's face it. But, given the fact that this is an industry, perhaps they feel the need to hold hands once again to get what's best for business: Cold. Hard. Cash. It's perfectly possible.

Though the skeptic in me doubts it's true. We'll see.

Why would it run slower? Is that something typical of PAL releases? Old PAL games, in general, are 50hz and NTSC-U are 60hz. If you try to run PAL stuff without the supported methods the screen goes all funky, like black and white or white noise static, for example. But lagg? Never heard about anyt...

Been a long time but I'm right on with you guys here. Missed the pipe (pretty much the best melee weapon - wooden plank... Fuck outta here) near the Gas station, missed the hunting rifle (it sucks anyway, shotgun is way better), missed the Neely's Bar puzzle (got straight to the motorhome) and someh...

I actually prefer what they were doing. Movies based on the games and not following it's story directly. Because, let's face it, it wouldn't be the same thing even if it was an exact copy of the game's script.

It would suck, in other words.

I only beat it once (I got two endings because I reloaded the last save but I don't think that it counts as a second run, right?) and it was God knows how long ago but I don't remember it being scary at all. I thought the movies were alright, to be honest. Don't forget that they're based on the games so don't expect everything to be the same.

Also: Not everything you see has a hidden meaning. But yeah, theories are nice.
