Re: SH1 to (Possibly) Become Unavailable Digitally Forever S

This thread made me sad, even though I downloaded the PS3 version a while back and couldn't play far into it because of the glitches, and went right back to playing my physical copy. (I still keep my PS2 around and handy for SH games and others.) I want as many people as possible to be able to play ...

Re: A black sheep in the series, yet it still gives me the c

I've always liked SH4 even though it's not one of my top favorites. It's got an intriguing story, and I love the design of the water prison and the concepts behind it. Not a huge fan of playing through all the levels twice or of the super annoying ghosts, but those aren't deal breakers for me and I ...

Re: Silent Hill TV Series Starring Charlize Theron???

Oh man. I don't know whether I want this to be true or not. It seems more likely to me they would totally do their own thing with new characters rather than adapt any of the games into a TV show. And it could really suck. Then again, who knows, maybe we could get lucky and get something amazing. Ult...

Re: Chrisophe Gans Announces New Silent Hill Movie

I won't jump to conclusions yet, but an adaptation of SH2 as rumored would be incredibly exciting! If done well, that could be such a phenomenal movie! And I'm okay with entrusting this to Gans. I felt like he did a number of important things well in the first Silent Hill movie, and I'd likely very ...

Re: This game is better than silent hill 2 imo

SH1 is my favorite of the series. I attribute part of that to nostalgia with it being my first, but it's also just a great game. I enjoy the characters, story, and the otherside shifts, something we didn't really get to experience in the same way in SH2. I guess you could say SH1 is more my "st...

This post is a joke, right? It's a gambling machine. Won't it basically just have Silent Hill images on it or some shit?

Re: Most Annoying Part of The Game?

I don't think I'd call any part of the game annoying, but I'd probably choose the subway station as my least favorite portion. It's generally not that interesting and sometimes I still make a wrong turn or two.

Don't you exit that basement area via stairs? So can't you take the stairs to go back down?

(This should be in the "Daddy... Help Me!" section, by the way. :) )

Yeah, I like to look at and read as much as I can in games, especially SH games. :)

Glad you got to play the game! Congratulations on beating it. Man, it took me way longer than that to play through the older SH games for the first time. Lol

Re: Where it all began !!!!

I actually enjoyed the first movie quite a bit. I saw it in theatres THREE times opening weekend, and still watch it occasionally. Certainly there are things I'm less than fond of: the cult scenes (that's quite a bit, I know, lol), Alessa's portrayal (and yet I had Jodelle sign a SH movie poster, lo...

Re: Skipped items

Ever since SH1 taught me to do a lot of exploring, I've explored like crazy in SH games (and a lot of other games, even in genres where exploring is pointless, lol). So I found that key by exploring that alley the first time I passed it. Can't think of anything in particular I skipped or missed. Wel...

Re: Kojima's recent tweets.

I'm not particularly concerned with Kojima. I have a certain level of respect for him but I don't worship him like a lot of people do. And from what I saw of PT, it wasn't Silent Hillish or particularly wonderful. That plus slapping Norman Reedus onto it made me kind of start mourning for the series...

Re: Where exactly was the Gillespie's house on the map?

I know you visited Gillespie's house in SH1, SH3 and SH Origins, but the house isnt listed on the world map. Where is it exactly do you know? Thanks! We only actually visit that house in SH Origins (unless you count rooms from the house that appear in Nowhere). I don't know where the house is, but ...
