Re: Re-write Revelation!
Before Bassett signed onto and wrote Revelation, Avery said that he had a story written for the second film. I'm really curious to know how that played out, especially since (i'm guessing) it wouldn't retcon the first film like SH:R did.

Re: So Anyone Else feel like Bassett....
Although Bassett was limited by time, budget and producer's desires with this film, I have no doubt Gans and Avery could've done a much better film with the same materials than he did. I think they had a much better grasp of the games and their atmosphere, and overall have more talent in filmmaking ...

I'm really hoping we find out what these two monsters are in the special features of the DVD.

Well I finally saw the film, and I feel like I can't say anything more than has already been said. Film was terrible, I can't think of one good thing about it. I just hope that people who said the first Silent Hill film was bad now realize how great it really was.

I feel like a lot of people who hated the first film will wish that SH:R was actually more like it.

Re: A pair of bad reviews...
Although I'd also like to point out that based on everything I have seen and heard, there seem to be no actual monsters from Silent Hill 3 in this. Just a few new designs and the same old rehashed monsters from Silent Hill 2 that they don't seem to understand only worked in Silent Hill 2 because th...

Re: A pair of bad reviews...
Do we know if there are any monsters from the games in SH:R that weren't in the first film? I'd like to know this before I see the movie, so I'm not waiting for something that never happens. Not specific monsters, but whether or not we will see any familiar monsters.

Re: Before you see SH:R...
For me, I'm expecting to not like it. I LOVED the first film, and everything about it. SH:R looks to be completely different from the first SH film in a lot of ways. It seems much more action-horror film than a psychological survival horror film, and it doesn't look like it has retained a lot Silent...

The map is finally up! http://silenthill3d.com/map/ It appears that they directly used the map prop from the first film to build this map. Although this is awesome for continuity's sake, I wish they had extended the map down further to show the full town. A couple of interesting, spoiler-ish things ...

Re: Music of Silent Hill Revelations
This music sounds awesome, almost as if it was directly lifted from the games. I'm so glad they brought Akira on to compose music for the film's score. It looks like rather than releasing each individual track in the score, they've put multiple tracks together to create "suite" score piece...

New "Nurses" TV spot. http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3199655/this-nurse-fueled-spot-for-silent-hill-revelation-3d-is-slightly-nsfw/#comment-147604 Don't know about this one... thought it was way cheesy, but the stabbing scene with the nurses was pretty cool. Also, careful if you're at ...

Re: New TV Spot
To be honest I'm really disappointed that we haven't seen any new monsters from the games brought into SH:R. We've got a number of monsters from the first film returning, and then some new ones by the creation of Michael J Bassett, but I'm not really seeing any monsters from the games other than Leo...

Re: New TV Spot
Robbie being a monster has been speculated by fans for a while now, I'm glad that they did end up doing that. To be honest, big mascot-type characters terrify me, so I'm both glad and slight freaked out that this is going to be in the movie. However, that shot of the guy in bondage gear is a little ...

Re: *Spoiler* Peter Outerbridge's character confirmed
Peter Outerbridge is a fantastic actor. I really hope he gets more screentime than just being a cameo, it would be a waste of talent if he doesn't.

I'm still waiting for dat map! Me too! It looks like they've used the map from the first film as a blueprint for it too, which is nice for continuity's sake. Re: Possible Theory/Meaning For There Being 2 Alessas
It's entirely possible that the fire-carousel thing happens twice, like how Heather dreams of the amusement park in the beginning of the game. That's what I'm thinking. Unless Bassett lied and retconned what Dark Alessa is, it must be a scene that happens twice. Agreed. In the BD featurette, they s...

Re: MOVIE ENDING THEORIES!
I think the ending of the first film, thinking ONLY of the first film, is a great mystery, and one that can be interpreted many different ways. I had my own interpretation of it until Revelation's story started coming out, and I think they took a different route for the sequel. I think Christophe Ga...
