Re: What's up with Eddie's clothes?

All of this mirrors the verbal abuse James suffered from Mary during her mood swings, and how he suffered in relative silence despite his emotional turmoil, which included feelings of great anger. That just proves my point. He is angry with what Laura said, and has a right to. I mean, she's a littl...

Mephisto wrote:One thing to keep in mind about the intro for SH2 (for those that never knew it existed):
The characters will be mute until you beat the game for the first time. Then, when you ckeck on the intro again, the sound will come out.
Ha that's pretty cool. I've only viewed it after I beat the game.

Re: I think it would have been great if...

Playing as a pedophile is sure going to alienate a lot of people. I would have liked some Anne DLC though. But then again, that is sort of the problem Silent Hill as a series is in. Fans are tired of playing as protagonists who accidently killed, or are somewhat innocent. Playing as a real villain h...

Re: Stupid Puzzles

i dont mind the deep puzzles that actually make sense and make you think. and even then there's no way i would have remembered the order in which to ring the bells... For a while I would always try to remember combinations/solutions. But having a pen and a piece of paper nearby solves that. With re...

I found a "dead dog" message, I think around the cabin area. Definitely a reference to what Eddie did.

Re: What was your favorite / freaky / cool moment in the gam

One of the funniest moments was when Dr. K asked if I was a slut in high school. Like, that just made me laugh.

Another random moment was the semi naked picture of Cheryl on my phone.

Re: The Review Thread

I just finished the game again so I guess I'm in a good spot to review. Gameplay- So who liked Heavy Rain? What about the Walking Dead? Not much gameplay which isn't a bad thing, but very surprising for a Silent Hill game. Most of the game you are walking/running or looking at your fancy cell phone....

[quote="tekkie"]The ice isn't reliable because it changes shape between the correct rooms.

Yeah the ice always changes in its conformation, but the door with a lot of ice around it is always the correct door. I didn't have any problem with the final maze using that strategy.

Re: Was *Your* Ending Evaluation Accurate?

I'd say about 80% of it was true. On my first playthrough I was sort of confused if he was talking about Cheryl or me as well. One thing that he said that sort of surprised me is that I get criticized a lot which is sort of true. I polarize people and I'm not sure why.

Re: Harry's car

When swimming to the lighthouse you can look into the water and see a few images. One of them is a dead Harry right next to his car. The beginning of the game shows the crash and shows that he manages to stumble out of the car, but then collapses and then the scene cuts away. I think that is where h...

Re: How did you feel when the game ended?

@Mephisto- You got the "Love Lost" ending which in my opinion is the best and most "normal" ending to get. Well the first time I played I was stunned when I found out who sat across from Dr.K. The ending was very emotional, and I feel many people can relate to the themes of this ...

I had the same order as Mephisto.

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would say Celestine is most at fault. If the King would have listened to common sense none of that would have happened.

Re: Nightmare chase sequences

The Raw Shocks were annoying. The chase sequences were good but those pricks stopped me from appreciating the scenery. Also: I always had the feeling that they wanted to hug Harry..... Hug, pat on the head, and lay on 8) I find the chase sequences to be very irritating. For instance, the chase sequ...

I sort of figured she wasn't

[quote="Project_Night"]I don't like the level design For me:

I thought the levels were similar with what SH2 had. Same type of map, usually multiple floors at the main areas. The art design was much bloodier, more colorful, and more "showy" than what SH2 had though.

Re: The Sanitarium

I didn't mind the Sanitarium being big. The monstrosity of the building by itself is enough to cause some wariness. The corridors in the basement could have been a bit shorter though, and I too spent some unnecessary time down there. I knew that key in the tub would wash into the basement, and I tri...
