Here for my biannual check on new SH related rumours and anticipation.

I keep coming back to this thread to see if there's so much as a hint of a new game but realizing it's been almost two years since rumours started is disheartening.

No, no. I meant we see the events leading up to Mary's murder just as they take place. Whatever is implied to be a memory actually isn't—it's the present. James's in-game journey through Silent Hill is in fact James's and Mary's last trip to Silent Hill.

Or it was just the dog.

Perhaps the series of events happen as we play them. James seems to follow the same path he took back when he killed Mary.

I love me some trekking, hiking mysteries, though.

I tend to dislike the sewer areas in all games.

If you'd really like to tie up the loose ends with some pseudo artistic interpretation I would offer the option that the house was able to exist on its own regardless of urban and historical developments, idealizing and becoming present through the image of Andrew Wyeth's painting. The @SilentHill twitter account was created after they announced the Dead by Deadlight crossover. Perhaps they are using SH to attract people into DbD.
