Re: Silent Hills / PT Team
I felt burnt out on Yamaoka until I listened to Shadows of the Damned's OST. People who are griping about him should probably go listen to it, along with the game rip (should they be able to find one -- Youtube has lots of stuff). That stuff was approaching Mike Patton-tier shrieking. Quite good. Th...

Sure, if anything in a post-Shattered Memories continuity didn't have bullshit sexism in it, I'd be game for that.

Re: 3D confirmed, Korn doing main theme and October release
Okay so Alan Wake got Poe and David Bowie for songs, the latter of which was the ending theme song I think? And Silent Hill Downpour gets......................... a band who hasn't been relevant since nu-metal craze in the late 90s. Right.

Ahh see, I wasn't accusing YOU of bitching. That's why I didn't address it to you, and put that statement in a new paragraph entirely, thus expressing a new train of thought not connected to my statements aimed at you.

Re: Silent Hill 5: Pros (What you like)
I was using the Mary and Maria thing as an example. One of many, you see. People could talk in depth about the other games, like they do with SH2, if they wished, but they don't because there's this bizarre idea of making SH2 into a godlike installment in the series, and there's just this odd stigma...

Re: Silent Hill 5: Pros (What you like)
Homecoming's story is exactly the same basic layout as SH2's. A person forgets what they've done and is tormented by their subconscious guilt. They even have specters pursuing them to REMIND them of what they've done wrong. Really? No one would realize that the temptress named MARIA, who looked a lo...

Re: Silent Hill 5: Pros (What you like)
Silent Hill endings have never been all that good or satisfying, though. I think some of you are looking at the other games in the series with rose-tinted lenses. I ask you to look long and hard at the other games before you jump all over this one. Smart people -- re: those who put the subtitles on ...

Which... is why they're saying the idea in development didn't make it to the game itself, Chelsea.

Re: Eric Bossick (Henry Townshend VA) interview.
Clearly that's not what it means, then. You should double check these things -- you ARE on the internet, you know.
Google searches provide a lot of information very quickly. Almost every word is a link of some kind, by the way.

That just means you have to make what they see that horrifying and damaging.stopped_clock wrote: It would be great to a see this concept properly implemented in a game, unfortunately it's actually pretty difficult to scare someone when the lights are on.

Re: Eric Bossick (Henry Townshend VA) interview.
Eric Bossick: I don’t think video game characters tend to have much character development do they? But I appreciate the increasing trend to move deeper with games, as they become something close to cinema, but an interactive cinema. WHAT?!?!?!?! This paragraph in response to a basic "Why did...

Re: Least Favorite OST Tracks
The only soundtracks where the vocal songs I enjoy are SH4 and Homecoming, oddly enough. Some of them are simple, trite, or strange, but I quite enjoy their mood and placement. Origins and SH3's vocal tracks aren't really my cup of tea, so I by and large shun them like bastard children. I also reall...

You bumped a year old thread to say THAT? Honestly... could you please stop it? All I see are you reviving dead threads for a one or two sentence response that has little to no contribution to the topic at hand, and it's quite annoying and approaching the spam event horizon.

Yes but WHY is it your favorite world? I don't mean to get on your hide, OP, but if you create a new topic you should also probably generate an actual discussion. Listing things like this kinda strays more towards hit-and-run topic territories, which this forum by and large frowns upon.

Not necessarily, I don't think. His main concern is Heather and God, no?
Also... since those links were already mentioned previously, I think it best if this one gets locked.
