Re: Mary's Connection to Stilledalen?
I personally feel everything after Homecoming is set in a new continuity since they don't even try to use the Order concepts that we had in the original 4 games; only the typical SH2 references and other random names just to pretend that they give a shit about 1, 3 and 4. every new developer just tr...

I got the notification in my phone and saw the first "episode"... really short but it allowed me to make the first decision.

Re: "The body must have been crushed..."
The only person I remember being trapped in Silent Hill is Lisa, and that is because Valtiel is actually working in order to make that happen. Even Walter is gone for good after 4. People like Maria, Ernest and Leonard are just manifestations based on memories attached to the place and again; Silent ...

Re: Extra Content Yay/Nay/What?
The only reference to James that I remember is Henry saying that his son went missing or something like that; don't remember anything more specific about their relationship. The money issue is true tho, with James being just a clerk and the expensive hospital bills, I remember Mary saying something l...

Re: IGN readers voted Silent Hill 2 as the best horror game of all time
One easy way to make sure the player doesn't get (too) bored is to never let them feel safe. There should almost always be the threat of danger. If you have monsters, the monsters should never be predictable in their appearance. They should be able to surprise you at almost any time. You shouldn't ...

Re: IGN readers voted Silent Hill 2 as the best horror game of all time
In that case they would need to make the environments really interesting, not just random obscure references or subtles hints of the lore like we had before so modern players won't get bored. Also, the time that we spend at the streets would need to be shorter, I still remember how everybody complai...

Re: IGN readers voted Silent Hill 2 as the best horror game of all time
Combat in SH2 is almost optional anyway... I mean, monsters only are a threat when you are in narrow places but when you are in the streets you can dance around them without danger. Having a no combat game would be bad, remember what happened to Shattered memories where we couldn't check the environ...

Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 scarier than any of the Project Zero/Fatal Frame games? Bullshit...
Also, I am still finding SH1 a lot scarier than SH2

Re: It’s happening…
So... A new movie about SH2 and a remake of SH2... I know I should feel happier but I am so tired of Pyramid Head. It is better than nothing I guess Edit... Ok, I hadn't seen the other trailers but F and Townfall actually got me hyped... Ascension looks weird but I guess I can't judge it yet. It is ...

Good thing my PSX and my SH copy are still working, I try to take the most care of them along my other classic consoles... This is why I like to depend on digital re-releases or "collections"

Being honest, as a colombian man whose first language is spanish I never noticed anything wrong with the dialogues... Back in the PS era we even thought Resident Evil voice acting was good!

Again, just SH2 stuff... it is like there aren't more games in the damn franchise. Figures of an Night Flutter or a Twin Victim would be a lot better than seeing PH again.

Re: Why you do absolutely NO work, on analysing this damn ga
It isn't our fault that Homecoming and Downpour throwm everything to our faces so they leave little room to personal interpretation. Never played Book of Memories so I can't talk about it. I personally I'm tired of SH2 too, but it is a damn good game anyway, And the original 4 games keep giving new ...
