Konami has officially released . . . The Pillow
This was pre-revealed on 31 March, 2025 to inform people that what they were going to announce on 1 April was absolutely not an April Fool's Day. The official Twitter account noted: On #AprilFools we're blurring reality but this is no joke. You can buy it here . $49.99 USD + taxes/shipping I'm stron...

Re: Silent Hill 4: The Room has been rated for PC by PEGI
I'm probably the only person who thinks the giant Eileen head in the hospital was . . . kinda dumb.
It would have made much more sense if her in-room possession was included.

Re: Silent Hill 4: The Room has been rated for PC by PEGI
Apparently several haunting were missing from the PC version. Gotcha. That makes more sense. Whenever I'd see people mention that, it read more like it included hauntings that were removed from the original release but included in the PC port, not that the PC port didn't have them in the first place.

What are these "deleted" hauntings I see people keep mentioning?

Re: New Trailer from the Transmission
Didn't the town in Norway in Ascension also translate roughly to "silent hill?" Did Ascension name its town? I know it's set in Norway, mostly, but can't find anything about a specific city name. The Pennsylvania town is Hope's Junction. THE SHORT MESSAGE is set in Kettenstadt, Germany. I...

Re: New Trailer from the Transmission
They did? What characters were used for it? Because "Gaoka" is 'Hill', and while 'Ebisu' most commonly refers to a fishing god, it has the character for silence in a lot of its renderings because of the typical folk wisdom of needing to be quiet when fishing. I just really want Ryukishi t...

Not sure why it's funny, though.

Re: Is Hinako related somehow to [SPOILERS]???
However, P.T. was a complete experience, there was an end goal and exit even if the story is enigmatic and it ends with a lead in to a potential full mainline project. So it was complete for what it was, and not an unfinished project in it's own right. What keeps it out of canon is it's own disclai...

Man, no one wants to remember Anita at all, huh.
(Yes, I absolutely consider THE SHORT MESSAGE a mainline entry.)

Dahlia definitely didn't adopt Alessa with the intent to perform the ritual on her eventually. It wasn't until after Dahlia learned of her innate abilities that she realized the ritual could be done without the help of others. Dahlia says, "Why didn't I see this before? There's no reason to wai...

Re: Bloober Team may be working on SILENT HILL & SILENT HILL 3 {RUMOR}
Do we know that Cheryl didn't know she was adopted all along? Clearly Heather didn't, but I don't recall if SH1 ever indicated one way or the other if maybe Cheryl knew all along. If Harry uses the aglaophotis on Cybil, there's a brief conversation between the two regarding Cheryl. Cybil asks: Harr...

This is a weird troll that for some reason still pops up 12 years later every so often.leftshoe18 wrote: ↑15 Mar 2025 That wouldn't make any sense.. When at home as a civilian, army members tend to not wear their helmets.

Several references to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) can be found in SILENT HILL 2: REMAKE. Here are a few of them: o1. Re: Silent Hill f rated in South Korea
They specify it will uncover f, but does that mean it will only focus on f and no updates on anything else? I'm guessing it will focus on SILENT HILL ƒ with a new trailer, interviews with the development team, and a release date. Also an official trailer for Return to Silent Hill , mention of TOWNF...

References to SILENT HILL in SILENT HILL 2: REMAKE [list]
Many events and locations of the original SILENT HILL are subtly — and sometimes well-hidden — in SILENT HILL 2: REMAKE. I've been trying to compile them and feel like I have enough now to do so here. I'll try to put them in order of appearance, though no guarantees. Some of them are simply easter e...

The original was too long, really. If it had excised the 14-minute exposition scene toward the end it would have been significantly better.

Re: License Plate Bible Verses
LEM3232 This presumably refers to King Lemuel, whose sayings are listed in the book of Proverbs. However, there is no chapter 32 in Proverbs. It could also be a typo and meant to be LAM, or Lamentations. Unfortunately it, too, lacks 32 chapters. Lamentations 3:23 reads: Although he causes grief, he...

Re: What if the game had Playable Endings? - SPOILERS
In my mind, Leave is the "happiest" ending, giving James closure, forgiveness and leaving with Laura Based solely on Henry's internal monologue, there is no "happy" ending for James: He "disappeared in Silent Hill a few years back. . ." so there's really no coming back...
