Re: Canon or no?
I also wish this, it would be nice to see a more polished Silent Hill origins, maybe do it with more focus on Travis story, instead of trying to do both Alessa's and Travis story together in the same game.

Re: Prison Door Monster
I don't know what it is, but man that part scared the living shit out of me for some reason. It felt like a nightmare, you know the dream where you're being chased, for me that is what it felt like. I think it should remain mysterious, because the fact that we don't really know what it is, is what i...

Re: Anyone ok with Vatra doing another Silent Hill?
Aww that sucks, oh well, I hope they release a patch soon. I think alot of the issues with the game are linked to the autosaves. They need to do away with those damn autosaves, and maybe just maybe some of the issues will be ironed out. sigh* I still like the game though, just the downside of those ...

Re: Anyone ok with Vatra doing another Silent Hill?
exactly, and I've heard that if you install the game to your harddrive, it actually makes the framerate issues and glitches less of a problem. Not saying that it fixes it totally, but from what I heard it makes it to where they happen a little less often. Anyway, was playing the game last night, and...

Re: Anyone ok with Vatra doing another Silent Hill?
I think the game was bar none, the closest thing to the originals in atmosphere and storyline. The only thing that truly needs worked on, are the techical issues and framerate issues. If Vatra can find better quality assurance testers, then they'll be doing alot better and just may, create the best ...

Re: Anyone ok with Vatra doing another Silent Hill?
I was also impressed with it, and I also did not like everything about the game itself. The tech issues were a bit annoying, however other than that, this felt like a true installment to the series. I would love to see Vatra do another silent hill, and iron out all the tech issues that were present ...

Re: Got Downpour? Want to share impressions? Post them here!
I agree as well, even though the game seems to have been done on a relatively low budget. The game still holds up well, and the atmosphere is some of the best I've seen in years in this series. No it's not Silent hill 2 or the other 3 for that matter, but who cares, it's still a good installment to ...

Re: Is Downpour scary?
This game literally gave me nightmares, and that is no lie. To answer your question it is scary, but in the way that the older silent hill games were scary, if you know what i mean? The atmosphere, the way the camera shifts, the way the town itself looks, the way the storyline slowly unfolds. All th...

Re: Downpour Review Thread
I will add, without spoiling anything, that there are some truly frightening moments in this game. Seriously, the entire time I've been playing this, I've become paranoid and uneasy. Just walking through a door, will make you feel paranoid in this game trust me on that. The creatures yeah are dull, ...

Re: Downpour Review Thread
So far this game is incredible, it feels exactly like an old school silent hill game. I could give a damn what IGN says, because I believe that alot of the complaints are intentional on the part of the devs. I love the weeping bats, and the screamer enemies are awesome too. The only thing I see, is ...

Re: One Week to Launch - Your feelings?
I've actually spoiled the game for myself a bit, but I will not spoil it for anyone else here. But from what I've seen, this game looks awesome!, and it's actually pretty chilling and frightening at times. At least from what I"ve seen, and the story bits I've seen, mind you I haven't seen alot ...

Re: You may need to turn the volume down.
I'm liking the cinematic feel of it all, I just wish that we didn't have to listen to the loud german dudes yelling. Anyway the music from what I can hear sounds good, and everything is very atmospheric, I like the camera angles used, the voice acting seems decent. So far it looks good, I just hope ...

Re: Do you have faith in the new game?
I would say that I have faith in the new game. the Hammer guy looks a bit plain, but other than that things are looking at least decent this time around.
Not sure about the character models though, god of War 3 had far better character models and that game is an adventure game for crying out loud.

Re: 40 Minutes w/ Downpour – Thoughts, Video & New Screens
Yeah I agree, alot of the puzzles in silent hill 3 were completely unrelated to the subject matter of the game itself. Silent Hill 2 on the other hand, fit right into the general story line and subplot of the entire game itself. I just hope that we don't get key goes here, open this door kind of puz...

Re: 40 Minutes w/ Downpour – Thoughts, Video & New Screens
Awesome playthrough of the demo, love the atmosphere, and I actually like the Monsters, well the ones that we actually saw. I liked the breakable chairs and things of that nature, very realistic. And from what I could tell, it actually seems to make more sense than putting TVs and microwaves in your...

Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
According to this podcast Konami didn't change the release date on Amazon.com, Amazon did. I suspected as much, since Amazon changed the release date right after the initial TGS trailer was released that said Coming Soon 2012. I think that was meant to be the Japanese release date. I still have no ...

Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
I wonder why the American release is pushed back 4 months like that? I hope that we get the better product out of it perhaps? Anyway everything looks good, but perhaps the delay will allow for some further polishing of this game, which would surely make this game alot better when it launches. from t...

Re: TGS TRAilLER (coming soon) and KORN SONG (in the topic)
Here's the TGS trailer without Korn's crappy song. Instead, it's the song SHe from the SH1 OST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew6q4j14isU The trailer looks much better now. So much better indeed. Good job! That's the kind of music it needed. I seriously believe that the Korn song fit better in my o...

Re: Who else was disappointed by Homecoming?
It's just called bad rendering and character design actually. To me there are moments when the character design was off a bit. And in the case of Alex, the character model for him looked both good and bad. The teeth didn't look very realistic to me, because they were as another poster said "too...

Re: "New" horrible trailer, with ridicolous boss
To be honest, to me the face doesn't look all that bad really. I like how there are pieces of the town and metal and things being used for the face and for the boss itself. But at the same time, if this is used in the game, I would hope, silly or not that it has a meaning behind it. A reason for it ...
