Saw it yesterday.

The writing and plot are so terrible that it's a waste of having decent actors enlisted. And on the points where a Silent Hill film should stand out--atmosphere and creature design--it's pretty underwhelming.

Re: Harry Masons Wife?

The guidebook got the timeline wrong. It makes us wonder what else it got wrong. And yet the guidebook has been widely accepted is incontrovertible authority on murky matters from the three games. This is why I wrote the Theorist's Guide. Specifically to prevent things like this. Where can I read th...

Where are the authorities throughout the games? Why don't we see any other people in the mall in the beginning besides Heather and Douglas? It's a plot hole, but a necessary one. You're supposed to feel alone in a Silent Hill game.

If I recall, "Heather" is just a name that the teenager uses, along with hair dye, because she's insecure about her identity. "Cheryl" is, in fact, her given name.

So, I hadn't been paying attention to the forums or anything, nor had I received any emails from Gamestop. I waltz on into the store last Tuesday, excited to pickup my PS2 copy (and bonus soundtrack!) that I had reserved a month before. My friend who works there looks at the computer and tells me, &...

People whine about the tank controls, but alot of games had them back then. I never found them particularly bothersome.

When I started this topic, I didn't realize a PS2 port was already in order.

Well, that settles that.

I'm pretty sure the PS2 is going to have the greatest longevity of any system, thanks to stuff like this.

I don't think the series has advanced itself to the point where a remake of the original is warranted.
