Re: Pros! What the teaser has done right! ಥ⌣ಥ

Aside from what's already been said, I specially like the random events. Every time someone plays the game, something different happens. You can never expect what's next. You don't even know when you're going to die (┳◇┳) Anyway, if those random events continue on like this, it would be aweso...

^No, that nitpicky detail was reserved for the Pokémon battle at the end of the film. I mean, that was awesome and all, but it just oozed fanservice. Not that fanservice is always a BAD thing, but when it comes at the expense of plot coherence and a good movie, it ends up just screwing us over. Th...

Re: Here it is guys! OFFICIAL Silent Hill: Revelation TRAILE

I'm all for holding a critical eye to a franchise I love, especially one based on a game because they are always butchered, but I do have to say...I find it extremely amusing that some folks here are questioning certain aspects of the movie that the majority of the players have no real grasp of at a...

Re: Is This Game Killing Silent Hill?

Reviving a dead post to see the opinions of those a year later.

I personally enjoyed it on the PSP. I do find it upsetting that the game was pretty much perfectly ported to the PSP, as it kind of shows the size of the game overall.

Re: Audio sample of Daniel Licht's soundtrack

After Dexter, I had faith in Licht. This really confirms it. I honestly wouldn't find this theme to be out of place if it was inserted somewhere into a Silent Hill game.

Trailer music was a TAD bit too X-files for me (even though I LOVE the X-files) Interested in seeing what happens though!

Edit: Listening to the Dexter Blood Theme convinces me to give this guy a shot. Very intrigued now.

It's everything I knew it would be- dumbed down. Silent Hill for idiots. This, more than anything else in your post, intrigues me. SH:SM easily has one of the smartest plots in the series (in my opinion, the single smartest). I would love to hear exactly what you saw in this game that was "for...

Yeah, I dont know. The problem is sometimes just terrible communication between the various agencies that are going to be handling the game. Sometimes it ends up fatal, and the game/consumers suffer. I dont think it was that bad though. A little off that topic;I think, though, that if you look at a ...

Matt brings up a good point. I can't honestly fault Climax for needing to make Shattered Memories as compact as they did, since Homecoming flopped so much that it didn't even get to Japan. I guess the only thing that upsets me was the game length. I don't mind paying 50 dollars for a game, but if I...

You're welcome! There was a remake called Siren: Blood Curse that's okay. If you can find a way to import the second Forbidden Siren, totally do that. Otherwise, I hope you live in Europe. AG unfortunately I do not! I did play about an hour of the game last night, as that's all I had time for, and ...

Sales doesn't always reflect quality, but a lot of time sales does reflect quality. You've listed some good examples of when this obviously wasn't the case, although many people, myself included, enjoyed Revenge of the Fallen and was not looking for something "deep" when it came to giant r...

I used to tell all of my friends that Silent Hill was the scariest game I've ever played in my life. The only one I might think equal to it was Fatal Frame, but that was more of a in your face scare than a mentally disturbing scare. A bit off topic, but have you ever played Forbidden Siren? It was ...

Well, like I said, I'm not going to be discussing the previous ideas any further, but I do want to comment on PJ's idea. I didn't mind the lack of monsters, but I did mind the lack of fear. Especially considering that the real fear in survival horror games is the knowledge that things could sneak up...

Also, I'll explain it this way. If you make a new Super Mario Bros. game, but remove the super mario brothers, and EVERY other element of the game remains the same...is it still a Super Mario Bros game? NO, it would not be! People have fallen in love with Mario and Luigi, and Mario is one of the mo...

It just seemed to me like they were saying "Ok, play this game, it really has no bearing on anything, so anything you find or discover really isnt relevant to anything but this story, oh and by the way, this is Silent Hill" That was kind of the point, honestly. It's a starting point; they...

Krist, I'm pretty sure I love you o_o We are on the same page here, for sure, and to be honest these responses have been very surprising to me. I thought for sure that more people would feel like this is, indeed, fan-fiction. I never thought to use the term, but I have to agree that it is indeed wha...
