Morgan Freeman would obviously be Douglas :)
But I think it would be too easy for him.
I think he likes a challenge.

SilentHylian has popped back up on IMDb, and says that Adelaide Clemens has been hired for the lead role. Seeing as SilentHylian isn't known for lying, I'm somewhat inclined to believe it.

This works for me somehow. It's probably just me though, I really like Kristen Bell.
I guess great minds really do think alike, haha!

I chose her too...

Give me some credit though, I made this pick like 7 or 8 years ago! So if actually turns out to be her, think I should get some kind of a prize or reward something...

Ah yes, I remember that lad. He was the one who ripped me on my little animated storyboard GIF thing I posted on there pre-movie release. Was the only one to do it too, I believe. Anyway, it's most likely true but until the official announcement is made by the director himself I'm still holding out hope for my pick.

Although the image below is a not-so great photoshop of Megan Fox as Eileen Galvin, I think she could pull it off if she gets an actual haircut and no make-up, or make-up to make her look more disheveled and sleep deprived.

I always thought of Kate Beckinsale in Underworld (without make-up) whenever I saw Eileen.

For James, at first I pictured Stephen Baldwin, but then he got old...then I saw Cary Elwes, but then I found out about Aaron Eckhart.

Peter Krause would make a great Henry

Regrettably, not so much anymore. :(

I'm absolutely hooked on Aaron Eckhart for James. Besides being a brilliant actor, and therefore would keep the role engaging in the movies (where the OMGIACTUALLYKILLEDMYWIFE twist has been done to death), he just physically is James. There've been so many pictures in here, though, I think the point's been made.

I think Cameron Diaz is spot on for Maria. I feel Maria and Mary should be played by two different people who look similar. The subtlty being that Maria is James' fantasy woman, so Maria should be hotter, and Mary more homely. But they should look as close as possible to each other, enough to mistake one for the other at a distance or in the fog, or from behind.

hahaha Cary Elwes just needs to lose those gained pounds and have a shave. :D

If I was casting Silent Hill 4 I would go for -

Henry - jared padalecki - even though he doesn't really look like him, but I could see him bring more life to the character of Henry, and he's a good actor (now anyways, not the early supernatural)

Eileen Galvin - Lauren Cohan

Cynthia - Vanessa Ferlito

Walter - Kevin Bacon

Frank Sutherland - Victor Garber

Chuck Norris as God and every monster. I mean, he is everyone's fear.

I'm going to have a little fun with this one, and cast people form the That Guy with the Glasses crew instead of conventional actors. For Walter Sullivan, I pick Spoony. I think Brad Jones in Cinema Snob mode is just slimy enough for Kaufmann, and Linkara would have to be Vincent.

My ideas for Silent Hill 2 cast:
JAMES - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
MARY/MARIA - Marion Cotillard
ANGELA - Rooney Mara (top) or Emmy Rossum (bottom)

I can't think of anybody to play Eddie/Laura yet.

You probably can't tell from the picture, but Nikolaj looks alot like James Sunderland and he's also a good actor.

Also, Marion Cotillard looks great with both brunette and blonde hair.

Oh and by the way, Ryantology, can you please unlock the SH2 cast thread?? This thread is good and all, but I really preferred when the thread was on the SH2 board as well. Is it really so bad to have two threads that are similar?

It is. Honestly, that thread should have been closed a year ago. It wasn't only because it escaped notice. We really don't need multiple threads about which celebrities people think resemble James or Harry, do we?

Please have a look at our forum rules to get an idea of what is and is not allowed, with explanations why. One of them is that we'd prefer you edit your post and add to it rather than posting another one right after it. ;)

Hold up! The rule says no under 17s, but I'm under 17 and I could join and I didn't even lie about my birth date! Or does that not count for the forums?

Maybe blocking via birth year was something that got lost in the switch to the current board? Well, regardless, you could have gotten away with it, but you realize you just admitted you were under 17 and opened yourself up to be banned, right?

Yes, but I don't understand. When I registered, it only asked if I was born before or after 1999, which I was born before, so I assumed I was of age :/

EDIT: I'm 17 in a week anyways, so I don't see the rush to get me banned.

I was three days shy of my fourteenth birthday when I joined. :D

Also, Donna Burke as Angela Orosco and David Schaufele as Eddie Dombrowski.

I would also love to see Guy Cihi as James because although there are other actors who resemble him, none of them (especially not Denis Leary) have that soft, soothing quality to their voice like Guy.
