Have you seen Harry's daughter anywhere? Short, dark hair?

At first, I was gonna ask, "Why?" That was immediately replaced by, "Why not?"

Now I wanna know the thought process that led some Japanese Schwarzenegger fan to turn that elementary school into Midwich. :)

I could have sworn this had been posted on the forums. I guess I saw it somewhere else, then.
Still cracks me up that it appears that they actually did do this! It must have been something a team-member watched recently, and they said it would be a good resource for a school interior.

Cybil: "My head hurts..."
Harry: "Maybe it's a tumor."
Cybil: "IT'S NOT A TUMAH!"

Wow, I guess references can come from the nuttiest places! I'm just glad they don't make Harry say "It's not a tumor!"

Yeah, but how awesome would it have been to see Cybil shout "I'M A COP YOU IDIOT!"

Some of this is just what would have been standard of a 1990s American elementary school. For instance, the posters. Could someone get a closeup of the blue poster? I want to find out what it's for. Could be interesting.

Also, here's the real Midwich? JOHN JACOB ASTOR ELEMENTARY

Someone was tired.

Naw...actually, I never noticed that before you pointed it out. That is weird.

The blue poster and the dog ones are the only two that stick out to me. The others are generic, particularly the bus, which looks pretty different from the one in the film.

I wouldn't say that the bus looks different from the one in the film, except for differences likely caused by the capabilities of the ps1 era graphics (The lack of any of the protruding aspects; mirrors etc) it even has the number 7 that the bus from the film has.

This is absolutely incredible. In a weird way it makes sense, as the developers wouldn't know what the exterior and interior of your typical American school looks like without seeing one in person or on film. It's quite amusing how closely they modeled the game after the school in Kindergarten Cop.

I guess you can see why they sent people to San Bruno, CA to get the look and feel of the town in Silent Hill 2. Maybe ripping off another movie wouldn't have cut it? :)

I'm not sure, but if my memory of the map proves me right... wasn't Alchemia on the other side of the map? Across the bridge?
...
Btw, excellent find! Creepy, but excellent!

I love the Silent Hill Series. The games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.

If you agree, add it to your sig.
