What Tommy said. If you want to add something but you were the last one to post, please use the "Edit" function to add it to your last post instead of making a brand new reply.

Thanks!

Its funny because it's true. I had a Vita and was looking for games and it didn't even cross my mind to give it a shot.

I bought a Vita a couple years ago specifically for Book of Memories and still haven't completed it.

Edit: image removed. This feels like a direct insult to Tomm Hulett, and we don't tolerate that here.

What I was looking forward to in HOMECOMING after learning Elle was originally going to be an adult Laura.

(This is a very old one I made and forgot about. Ended up finding it in my old Image Shack account.)

Is that true LMAO. Ellie was Laura? Tell me that's just some Adversary Humor (TM). Alex's entire plotline wasn't enough homage?

Lol. After learning the history of the development of Homecoming, I put 90 percent of the blame on Konami and them outsourcing/disbanding Team Silent. Konami wanted RE4 but Silent Hill and that just won't work anyway you try to do it. Had Double Helix been given more time, budget, and not coerced into making an action heavy game I think D.H would of probably still made something mediocre. Better maybe, but still lacking.

Unfortunately not.

In the original script/concept, Elle Holloway was, in fact, going to be an adult Laura. That's where the name Elle — or, L. — came from. Tomm Hulett then came in and reminded the people responsible that, well, Laura was an orphan and didn't have, or at least know, her parents.

HOMECOMING could have been a good game, with a good story, if it hadn't bounced around so much. That's why I think it, of all the games, deserves and needs a remake the most. That's the problem with remakes: They're reserved for good games, not the games that actually need one.

I wonder if Konami would ever consider remakes of the western games if potential remakes of 1-4 are successful.

Jesus. Well shit. There it is. I watched a video on D.H original vision for SHV as it was called and it was more interesting, but still seemed pretty far off the mark, in my opinion. If anyone is interested in that I posted it a couple of threads down, it's a good watch.
I partially agree with you on remakes. I think both The Room and Origins are perfect candidates for remakes. They are flawed, but they also have qualities that I think a talented developer could bring out. I'm glad Capcom is finally remaking Code Veronica for a similar sentiment. The problem with remaking a game like Homecoming is there isn't much there to ignite excitement for a remake. "HEY we are remaking that Silent Hill that ripped SH1 , SH2 and the movies plot off wholesale, has very dull settings and a combat system that felt dated on release. Any good qualities of Homecoming, to me, are left overs from what it took from other games. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but who's it for? Why not just remake something else or offer a new experience? We should remake games that were considered subpar, mediocre, average, but I think it has to be ones that a decent amount of people enjoyed in spite of its flaws.

I could see them doing Origins IF the remakes are all successful. Origins fits in well with the Silent quadrilogy and wouldn't be a bad game to see reimagined. I could see them porting Shattered Memories as well at some point. Homecoming I just can't see what so ever. Downpour I want to say no, but it does have a very small fanbase. I honestly don't know. I think it's a half step above Homecoming, barely, but people see something in it and I can't deny that it would make some people happy. Definitely Maybe.

A lil meme so I'm not just crusading against Homecoming.

This is technically not a meme, but just a shot from an an actual cutscene in the game which for me, personally, has always symbolized the developers themselves.

This is the equivalent of M. Night Shyamalan trying to pass off The Happening as anything but an unintentional comedy while including this sign in the film:

I had the same thought when I recently replayed Homecoming.
