Do graphics really matter that much? SH1 looks like ass, but I'll still play it. And sluggish combat is a staple of the SH franchise. And once you get the hang of the dodging and knife tactics, it becomes pretty damn fluid. Hell, just play it on easy.

I've recently had the chance to see more of the PS3 version, and it actually does look pretty weird...

I mean, the 360 and PC versions aren't amazing or anything, but the lighting and textures are noticeably better. I don't see the combat as being clunky... Once you get the dodging down it flows smoothly.

Either way, I'd definitely recommend giving it another shot. It's become my favorite game in the series after multiple playthroughs.

I've started it its ok, its not really just the graphics that bother me, its the filters they've put over the screen the resolution is really low on them. The game seems like it really just needed polishing, when the cut scenes end you hear the audio wildtrack change. Also i have noticed sometimes the music cuts low when a character talks, indtead of fading.

oh and btw way i loved SH1-3, expecially 2 :)

I think that might be something with the PS3 version TBH, because my friend complained about the same thing on hers, but it looks pretty awesome on my TV through my 360.

I love SH:H. If this game were a person, I would be fucking it.

Homecoming is a fantastic game.

Give the game a shot if you want. Ain't no point in playing just for the sake of playing. Feel the story, the characters, enjoy the environments, the music and the graphics, have fun with the gameplay and all. . .

Never said he had to like it to be a fan, but at least play through it.
If graphics stop you from playing a game, I'm sorry but you'd be missing out on a lot of amazing games out there.

I liked homecoming overall. It did have some long stretches between plot points in the middle of the game. imo

Ehh I hated homecoming it was just so unscary and corny wheeler was such a corny character. Comic relief characters don't belong in silent hill.

Shh is a fairly decent game, the beggining I felt had some of the best atmospheric moments in the series. The combat can be frustrating at first but that's normal. The hotel is very creepy. Could of did without the sewer but it wasn't so bad. If u see a certain doll down a dead end passage, pretend you didn't.

I thought Eddie was a very comedic comedic reliefer in my own ways  And James. Henry especially, the way he was so indifferent all the time. Not every character can be serious. Poor Henry... I think there's a lot of dialouge in the games that are meant to be taken as comedic relief. Or maybe that's just me.

Eddie wasn't as funny as he was sad, also James was just, weird. I think Henry was funny but he wasn't meant to be a comic relief character he just had really really bad dialogue, the kind of dialogue that just makes you go "what the hell?" :P

It`s a nice game.
Despite the Scarlet-bug in my copy, there isn`t much I can bitch about.
The artstyle is great, doesn`t matter if it`s close to the movie or not.
