Useless question, but hear me out (about the PS3)

Ten years after the original game and Harry's still searching for his daughter.

Useless question, but hear me out (about the PS3)

When this game comes out, will I be able to download the PS2 version on the Playstation Store? I have a PS2, but it's decapitated so any game I play on it will freeze. Plus, it would look better on hi-def PS3 graphics.

Probably not. But if your PS3 is backwards-compatible, it should work.

Nope, no PS2 game is on the Playstaion Store because only the 60gb PS3 is compatible with PS2 games, every other version of the console will not play PS2 games so there is no chance they will put this on PSN. If you have a 60gb PS3 then you will be bale to play it, if not them you won;t be able you.

You can pick up a PS2 for about £30-£40 now anyway.

Well, I figured "bricked." :P

I was curious as to whether it was "bricked under special circumstances that somehow resemble decapitation."

The PS2 version will most likely be backwards compatible since it is a PS2 game and to my knowledge, PS3's are backwards compatible with the last two Playstations.

Sorry, but only those who have the 60 GB models or were lucky to have purchased the MGS4 80 GB Bundle can play PS2 games albeit with glitches and bug applying to certain PS2 games. If you have a 40 GB or a current model 80 GB, you're SOL. Time to dig the PS2 out of the closet, I'm afraid.
