It's the eighth Silent Hill game in production order.

Convenient way to sidestep questions of Shattered Memories's place in the series, since it also ignores the fact Origins is technically "Zero."

He stated he wasn't the head producer, but he WAS working with the team.

He was working with them on this one, just not as a producer.

I think it's just a coincidence that the name is the same.
