The Rope In The Dance Studio

I couldn't find a topic on this but apologies if this has been discussed before.

Why was there a rope in the desk in the dance studio? I noticed there were pictures of girls on the same desk. Is this hinting at some sort of sex crime (bondage) perpetrated by one of the instructors on the students or am I reading too much into something random?

After all, the description of the item says it's "sturdy and well-used."

Is there a legitimate reason why a rope would be well-used at a dance studio?

Thoughts?

Can you post (or send) a pic of it and the commentary? I honestly don’t remember it.

I'm past that part sadly so can't go back and take a pic.

But the description is on the wikia page for the rope: https://silenthill.fandom.com/wiki/Rope

I'm not super familiar with dancing myself, I do know that there are people who do elaborate dances with ropes, though I don't think those would be taught in a place like that.

Don't see any reason to think it's suggesting something sexual or devious, though. Sometimes a rope is just a rope.

But the jack is found in the autoparts store, which makes sense. There being a thick well used rope in a locked desk drawer in the dance studio seems really off.

Ropes are used in ballet/dancing, so it wouldn't be unusual to find one in the dance studio. It looks a lot thinner than what would typically be used, but, still, fairly typical.

Take a look!
