Yeah the clothes themselves do look like clothes for a kid from the 20th century, however if they were fitting it wouldn't be noticeable.

So I was watching the new trailer on the PlayStation store and it’s much higher quality than what was available during the stream. It does seem like it’s going to be capped at 30fps on the PlayStation if the gameplay trailer is indicative of the finished game’s performance.

Nothing has been officially said, and most games on PS5 have performance options of 60fps/1080p, or 30fps/4K or upscaled 4K.

But if they aren't touting 60 fps performance, then it is likely that the only two options are a locked 30fps at either 1080p native or upscaled 4K.

There may be further performance enhancements if the PS5 Pro releases this year as well that may offer it. And the PC version should be capable of 60 fps provided you have the hardware, or at least someone may mod it if they lock it for the PC release too.

I mean it's graphically on par with something like the resident evil remakes. I don't see why it wouldn't run at 60fps on a base PS5.

It should, but from my experience, bloober isn't very good at optimization. The medium, Observer, Blair Witch, Layers of Fear, etc. all run pretty poorly on PC.

If you watch the footage on the PlayStation Store it’s definitely not 60 frames. It’s masked pretty well by the slow panning camera movements which I assume are used to mask it. Maybe there will be a performance mode. Hopefully there is. That would suggest the footage was from their own fidelity mode.

Most games show footage from fidelity mode.

Gif of preorder bonuses in the opening area. Man the art direction is so on point. Don't care about the bonus masks though.

There's a closer shot of her on Reddit. It's from this same case.

It's not. It's from a Japanese gaming outlet. Like a GameStop mock up. The pictures are real.

The Until Dawn remake is now coming out mere days before this: https://blog.playstation.com/2024/08/14 ... october-4/

I REALLY hope this doesn't cut into SH2R's sales as a remake of a more recent horror game that may have greater brand recognition amongst the current gaming audience....

Yeah I see what you mean, but Until Dawn isn't SURVIVAL horror, but more of a cinematic choice your own adventure game. What's gonna keep SH2R selling well is a decent marketing campaign (crickets so far) and a positive word to mouth over social media.

Plenty of horror titles are released during autumn season. If anything, people talking about Until Dawn and SH2R being close to each others' releases simply generates more publicity for both.

Alright everyone!!
This is my last post for now. I don't want any spoilers and I've kept clear of 99% of them. Now that reviews and information are coming out about the game, I'm going to go into hiding lol.
I won't be back until I platinum the game. Also I take hundreds of hours exploring every nook and cranny of a game. So I will probably have 100+ hours before I'm satisfied 😁.
See you all in a few weeks!!!!! Eeeeeeeee I'm so excited!!!!

I did enjoy 😁
Got the platinum in 6 days and now have gone through the game 13 times start to finish. While not perfect (like OG silent hill 2) I was ridiculously impressed by what we got. Bloober team should be extremely proud of themselves!

Still got a week or two before I can get this game. It's been quite a painful month waiting.
