First Impressions

Right now I'm a chunk of the way through the Woodside Apartments. I reduced the gamma to make the game darker, and holy shit is this game scary. As a SH2 veteran I never expected to raise an eyebrow, but now that things are different and the enemies are smarter I feel myself being extremely cautious. I'm not sure how I feel about combat being streamlined into stick for melee and your choice of guns on the fly, but it's definitely a lot more involved than the OG's. I kind of spoilered myself on certain parts but I look forward to experiencing it myself.

It could just be the 25 health drinks and 16 syringes I have in store, but I'm actually a lot less scared now that I'm about to enter the labyrinth. Unless the scariest is yet to come!

I just finished Brookhaven. For the most part, I'm enjoying the remake. I felt that the PH/Maria sequence at the end of Brookhaven didn't hit as hard as the original, personally. It felt kind of... hollow. I also feel like there are just way too many enemies in the overworld. I'm playing on Standard and they're bloody everywhere.
