And I really like how James cannot look directly at you when saving at the 9 red square save point before the double PH boss battle.
Otherworld!..long time man! ...like yourself, i completely enjoyed his remake. Bloober team did an incredible job, They truly di their homework on the background and lore of this story. I especially liked the small touch towards the end right before the double pyramid head fight where the monsters are not attacking you anymore.
If you walk towards that mannequin nearby, it will even back away from you as if its terrified of you now,,,,the whole symbolism between James and Pyramid head comes full circle in that subtle moment.

All of the details and additions Bloober added really worked well. They understand the essence of what made Silent Hill 2 ...... Silent Hill 2
That’s a question I have. Do you have to play new game plus to get the new endings or can you just start a new game?
I think I did read that in order to get new information as far as letters are concerned and new endings, that you do have to play new game plus
It’s just that for me when it comes to these games. I really don’t like to start off with everything from the last run. I like the slow burn and buildup this game offers. But if I have to play new game plus to get the new endings then I will do it
New Game Plus doesn't start you off with everything from the previous run. It adds a few new items to the world and enables the extra endings (including the joke endings).

leftshoe18 is correct.
New game plus is not like the RE new game plus. You can get all of the endings using new game plus. And you get the chainsaw. But nothing else is carried over from a prior playthrough. On a regular new game I do not believe that all of the endings are available.
