Real version of the Stanley knife

Post by Phatt180 »

I just noticed tday after playing SH4 again that the stanley knife I use at work is almost the same as the one used in SH4, it was made in Japan so most likely it was modeled from this one.

This prob won't interest you guys much but I thought it was kinda cool.

It looks exactly like every other segment-bladed utility knife I've ever seen. They aren't exactly distinctive, sorry.

I don't remember this "stanley knife" being used in SH2. Could you refresh my memory? The only time I saw such a knife being used is in SH4-The Room-.

Could you please not post a picture that big? It's really annoying how it stretches out the page.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

Well, that was a bit pointless, no offense though, but it was.

A stanley knife is more commonly known as a "boxcutter" worldwide. The original concept was created by a acompany called Stanley. hence the name. Stanley knives had a similair shaped blade. But they would wear out fast so they put replacement blades inside the hollow metal frame. Later versions had simple segmented blades you can break off when it gets worn.

They are known for being extremely sharp. sharp enough to shave yourself with one. Whenever I see a genuine stanley knife (metal grip) the scar on my left hand starts to itch. Reminds me of someone I knew who was assaulted with one. He got a scar running from his chin to his ear...
